I'm an experienced baker and have used Swans Down for decades. It make's wonderful cakes. If you're not able to find Swans Down, try White Lily. Its also a wonderful baking flour.

A staple brand and a go to for my mini sweet breads. Over the years, I found that using regular all purpose flour made it too dense, especially with generic flour as it left it with a nasty aftertaste. I decided one day to give cake, flour, a try, and what a game changer. Side note: I noticed a few comments stating that cookie recipes were used with this flour. cake flour cannot be used for cookie recipes as it does not contain enough gluten.

I used these for my cookies as well and they were flat as can be… this was my first time using this brand and was not satisfied. Not sure how it is with cakes but definitely not a cookie fluffer! Ill be going back to my other brand cake flour.

I use cake flour for my cookies and had to get this brand in a pinch one time and it left a bad taste and didn’t give the cookies the fullness they were supposed to be. I will never buy this brand again even if I have to wait or go out of my way to get the right one.

I was looking for cake flour to bake my son's birthday cake. This particular brand had great reviews everywhere. I am a new baker and haven't baked much cakes at all but the cake baked using this flour came out so soft and rose even. It tasted great. I don't think I will ever bake a cake with AP flour again.

Swans Down Flour is the only kind of flour that I use to make Chinese cup cakes. I wasn't able to find this flour from my local grocery stores for years, and I was happy to find it in Target stores. Now, I have to order it online from Target since I wasn't able to find it in the local Target stores either. I don't mind to order it online as long as there's a free shipping. It took about a week for me to receive my order, so it was not a long wait. Also, item was neatly packed.

My family has used Swans Down cake flour for three generations, for cakes and other baked goods. Lately it has been impossible to find this product in the Bay Area, so I took it upon myself to fine this specific flour and bake my Dad's incredible 7up cake and it turned out amazing. So this flour has made my family very happy, a little pierce of our childhood.
