No Longer Creapure Creatine
I have been buying Swanson's creatine for years, because it was an inexpensive source of Creapure creatine. Creapure is a branded raw material manufactured by AlzChem AG (formerly Degussa AG Trostberg; formerly SKW), an extremely high-purity branded creatine raw material used in several different retail brands. Because people are consuming large doses (5-10 grams a day) of creatine, purity is especially important, and there are impurities in commodity creatine about which one should be cautious: search for two articles on creatine by Will Brink titled "What's in your Creatine?" and "What's Really in Your Supplements? - An Update on Creatine"; see also Alzchem's Creapure web page. I will also note that unlike any other creatine supplement I've tried, Creapure has no bitter taste to it: until I started using Creapure, I'd just assumed the bitter taste to be intrinsic to creatine itself, whereas it now seems it is rather the taste of some impurity. Unfortunately, I ordered Swanson creatine as usual last month, but it was immediately obvious when I opened the bottle that the raw material had changed: the texture was totally different. I looked all over the label: the Creapure logo and verification number was gone, and there was no indication anywhere that it used Creapure. To be sure, I phoned customer service, and indeed, they've switched to commodity creatine. This was a really bad decision. I returned the product and bought a competitor's Creapure creatine. Hopefully Swanson will do the right thing and bring back the good stuff.

Not CREAPURE anymore!
It's very disappointing that they are not using Creapure anymore and it's an unknown creatine manufacturer. I bought it when it still said it was creapure and now it's been removed from the actual label. Not sure how effective this version is, but I thought I was getting creapure which is very effective.

Not Creapure. I ordered this thinking I was getting a good deal. It is not creapure, as there is no indication on the label, and, after calling in, the call center rep told me that it did not contain creapure either, as there has been supply chain issues, and the website and catalog have not been updated.

Great Stuff
I've used this for three years, with breaks of five months to ensure it was having an effect. There's no question that it helps me maintain muscle mass. Not sure it would help if one was sedentary, but with a weight lifting regime, it's a definite benefit.

Great Product

Just my opinion
My view after having a few different powder brands, I normally buy Swanson products all the time. I just will not be buying this one. I did not feel like it did as well as Now sports or muscle tech. I ended up giving it to my husband however it upset his belly and it had a taste too it that juice or shakes could not get rid of.

Good product.
Good quantity for the price, also, as far as quality goes the product is more finely milled than the creatine powders I used before: not exactly micronized, but finer than others, probably leading to better absorbtion. Will purchase again.

I did a bit of reading on Creatine prior to purchasing to see if it was worth it. Mainly I looked into the potential side effects vs benefits. There were three areas that seemed pretty consistent with Creatine.... 1. Weight gain - definitely saw some weight gain. I went from 143 ish to 148 in a little over a month. 2. Increase strength in lifting - I was already lifting near my max anyway and I continue to make gains. I can't say for sure if Creatine is making the difference 3. Fuller appearance - Definitely saw my appearance become more pronounced. I wouldn't say it's anything dramatic. Just enough to be noticeable. I may continue taking it, or I may go off it to see what I see what I notice going off. As of now, I give this product 5 star because it's doing what it does and Swanson is a great brand.

Just like the title says. Creapure creatine. Pure Creatine Monohydrate. Effectiveness backed up by multiple studies and the Creapure brand is the best of the best. A daily staple and you get more than half a year's worth for $24. Can't beat that.

Good basic creatine.
This product cuts through the hype and delivers a good and reliable source of creatine. I can remember reading years ago about compounds such a creatine ethyl ester as an optimum means of delivering creatine to the muscle tissues and it seems that research is bearing out that monohydrate works fine, even without an adjuvant carb load. Do your own research on this matter though! I add one 5mg. scoop to our smoothies in the morning. I use this more as an adaptagen than a muscle volumizer.

Swanson's Brand Incredible Creatine!
As a woman new to Body Building and 'of a certain age" I was a bit afraid to add Creatine to my supplement regimen due to what I had read elsewhere. However, after reading several reviews at Swanson's Vitamins, I was finally convinced to try it out. I am soooo glad I DID! What I discovered is that it did not make be bloated and it DID increase my strength on almost all of my lifts! It takes about 3 weeks of taking 5grams daily (that's the scoop size that comes with it) to fully saturate your muscles. Of course that fact that the price is outstanding and that it is the highest quality you can find (i.e., Creapure) makes it even more outstanding. I highly recommend Swanson's Creatine Powder if you want to improve your performance in the gym.

Good value and so far, I think it is doing what it should be. I take it daily to keep my creatine levels up. Make sure to mix in warm water/liquid or even hot tea to ensure it dissolves into the drink - however this is apparently a common issue with any creatine supplement.
