Smell is horrendous
I like a vitamin without iron. I always use Swanson's vitamins, but this is the first time I tried this particular one. The smell is horrendous. They smell like musty buttered popcorn doused in chemicals. I've never had a bottle of vitamins smell this terrible. I ordered 2 bottles (both expire in 2025), and after taking these for 2 weeks, I threw them both out. I don't know if they're supposed to smell like that or if I got a bad batch, but I haven't felt well since I started taking them.

Bad smell and taste.
The pills in this bottle have a bad smell and also leave a bad taste in your mouth. I think the problem is that the coating that surrounds each pill is not thick enough to cover up the bad smell and taste. Swanson should have this corrected.

I was not able to take them my heart would start beating fast so I stopped taking them. I couldn't sleep at night. My my sister really likes them. She feels like she has more energy.

Century Formula without Iron
Though I feel that probably this is an effective and perfectly good multivitamin/mineral formulation, unfortunately the pill coating is so thin that the odor of the constituent chemicals is very strong and the taste is awful. Used them for two days and threw them away. At the same time I ordered the Century product I also bought Geromulti without iron, like that much better, in a so-far-so-good kind of way. Will review that after I've used it for a year or so.

These pills are small, easy to swallow and gives you a great pick me up during the day. You'll now the difference if you go a day without them. Make sure you put some food in your stomach before taking.

I ordered this product by first selecting it from the catalog. When I received it I hadn't known that it contained hydroxpropyl methylcelluose and polyethylene glycol; which are listed online and I should have checked first.

No Nausea
Finally a vitamin supplement which I am able to ingest during, or even before my main meal of the day, which does not make me feel instantly nauseas as do the products including iron.

dissolve test
watching a tv show I tested this vitamin to see if it dissolved in the prescribed time...it did !! If it had not then I was told they would not be effective in your system.

I've taken these for years. Wonderful price for a basic, no nonsense product. Pharmacy brands are over-priced since you are paying for their advertising and fancy packaging. Give me Swanson value any day! I only wish they'd offer a larger size.
