Q: Can I use this without mounting it to the wall? The bathroom is tile and mirror, so I cannot drill holes into the wall.

A: I couldn't anchor it to the wall with the anti-tipping device, and it feels reasonably sturdy. I wouldn't put anything heavier than towels and toiletries on it. Definitely not earthquake-proof.

I love how straightforward and easy the assembly was using the tools included with the shelves. I especially love that the crossbar that goes behind the toilet is held by knobs that you tighten by hand, because often the toilet is between a tub and cabinet so there's no space to use tools. You can do most of the assembly with the shelves lying flat on the floor, so it's not hard if you don't have help. The shelves themselves are very sturdy metal so I can place heavy bottles of product in glass jars on them. I got them in black and the overall effect is modern and industrial, which goes with the rest of my apartment. Having the hooks is a nice functional touch.

I really like this for functionality in a bathroom with zero storage, not even a medicine cabinet. It is slim, attractive and I am finding the side hook and holder useful. I had 2 friends put it together for me, they weren’t fond of the directions and took things apart and back together again. Both of them are extremely handy so prepare yourself if you are on your own. I’m still giving this 5 stars since it wasn’t my hassle
