The Queen of Nothing is the third book in The Folk of the Air series and was the first book where I felt like I could cheer. After experiencing so much hurt, loss, and betrayal in the first two books, I had to take a break before picking this up. Jude has been banished to the mortal world by Cardan, but won't keep her out for long; when her sister comes and needs her help, Jude isn't going to pass up the chance to return to the world of the fae. Her return leads to a lot of answers and full-circle moments. Some people get redemption, and others get what they deserve. While I don't think Taryn deserves the ending hinted at, I'm happy they reconciled for Jude's sake. Cardan and Jude accept who they are and step fully into it. The future of Fairy is more settled than ever, and our characters are ready to move forward with their new futures. I still stand behind my opinion that this isn't a romance. This is fantasy with a splash of romance. Booktok and social media have hyped this series up as a romance with a great book boyfriend, and that is not the case. However, that doesn't change the fact that this is a great series for fans of YA fantasy.

5 stars because this series is fantastic, but probably 3.5 stars for packaging. It was delivered to me in good condition other than a few rips/tears in the first couple pages. It wasn’t packaged super well, but I can’t expect too much since not even Barnes and Noble can ship their books in a way that there won’t be any damage. Not sure why it’s so hard to wrap the books in bubble wrapping or put it in a box that the book fits snugly in. I always get my books delivered to me in way better condition than B&N though, so it’s a win for me!

I LOVED this book! For me the series started out a little slow, but by the time I got to this book, I fell in love with Cardan and Jude’s relationship! I plan to reread this book many more times in my future!
