Having a product that quickly provides an accurate read out is very important. This thermometer is easy to use, has a good feel/weight to it, folds up and looks good, too. (I tested the thermometer in the air as well as inserted into cooking meat so the contrast of temps could be seen.) I am looking forward to using the Lightning Instant Read Thermometer when prepping the Thanksgiving turkey!

It came with a battery unfortunately the battery didn’t work but I replaced it and it worked great. This will definitely come in handy while cooking and it’s definitely replacing my old thermometer.

Let’s just say after using it he was in love of how well it worked. The fact it’s waterproof is a plus too. Not sure about the battery life because we just started using it but it’s extremely accurate the chicken was so moist and tender and the design of it makes it feel and look so expensive. It even includes a battery and a little screwdriver to install it. It reads really quickly—almost instantly. One thing, it gives a high temp at first and then takes a second to show the real temperature. You gotta wait maybe 30 seconds for the actual read, but trust me, that’s way faster than other meat thermometers I’ve used before. Oh, and I really like that it turns itself off when you close the probe. Nice touch.

This is the best & fast reading thermometer. It’s well built & I think it will last longer. I love the auto rotating display & auto on feature (when probe is pulled out) and the display ie very bright led display for easy reading. It’s almost instantly gives the accurate reading. I use it for checking meat temperature & oil temperature, it’s a very useful gadget for cooking. It came with a battery & screwdriver (everything needed to set it up out of the box). Nice meat thermometer. It does its job well. It takes the temperature in “one second” which I’m not sure is a big deal to me. It folds up nicely so it fits in a drawer. I do like that the probe rotates all the way around so you can use it for odd shapes of meat/weird cooking spaces. I do like that it can be washed without worry that the screen or battery will get damaged.

This is a very nice instant red thermometer that will not be my go to. I really like that this is motion sense as far as it turning on and off. I like that when I take the temp of my meat, it gives me an accurate reading within seconds. This is also waterproof so it is very easy to clean without worrying about it messing up under water.

This meat thermometer works great. It even came with a small screw driver and a battery to get started. You don’t see that very often. It is simple to use and is accurate. There is no on/off switch. Rather, extending the thermometer part turns it on, and putting it back turns it off. Again, easy to use and works great.

This thermometer is lightning fast! Didn’t have to wait long to get an accurate reading on the internal temp of the ribeye that I first tested it on. The color scheme is nice too, and it isn’t huge which makes it convenient and portable. All in all I’m very happy with this thermometer.

Once you flip up the metal probe, the display wakes up, and you are ready to check the temp of your meat or poultry. I used mine on my Thanksgiving turkey breast, and it could hardly have been easier.

Good quality thermometer! It works quickly like it says and is easy to read. The orientation of the reading changes as you flip it around so you can read it any direction. I didn’t get a chance to try it in meat but tested its accuracy in boiling water and it proved right! There is reference for appropriate meat temperate right on the thermometer so that’s a great feature. It’s easy to clean and use. Overall, would recommend.
