After washing the smell is way overpowering. Will not use again

I've used tide products for years and never had a problem. However, we bought this kind a few days ago and washed our bedding- the next day my eyes were swollen almost shut. I thought it was seasonal allergies. The next day my eyes were swollen again and I woke up itching like crazy- got up to find my whole arms and hands swollen and Covered in hives- had some on my face neck and feet too (i had on long pants do not my legs). If you're someone that has allergies, I would not recommend switching to this. 2 stars because my boyfriend didn't have a reaction.

We tried this pod because it came as a free sample with another purchase. You should warn consumers it should not be used with an impeller-type washer because those use a lot less water. However,, it sounds like other people had the same reaction regardless of machine type I have already washed our clothes a second time and they still reek of this fragrance. Our laundry room is centrally located and the surrounding rooms also reek. We slept with all of our windows open and could still smell it. Our eyes and nasal passages are burning and we cannot wear anything from this load of clothing. How much water do I have to waste to get rid of this toxic smell? We are not complainers or dramatic people. We always take things in stride and keep things in perspective, but honestly... seriously... this scent is making us feel sick and even panicky because we can't take a breath without inhaling it. It has permeated our home and I am so angry I tried this free sample. What a lot of work, expense, and discomfort it has created for us.

I really dislike these new pods. As other reviews say, the smell is too strong! Might have to switch to a different brand and I have been using Tide my whole life.

I have been using Tide products since I was young. Switching from the powder and liquid to the pods was the best thing. Then when I saw these new pods I was excited. I couldn't wait to do a new load of laundry. Unfortunately I was disappointed in these new pods. The pods didn't break completely and and left a mess. I had to rewash that load two more times just for it wash away. Then I thought maybe the water temperature is what caused it not dissolve fully. First load was with hot water. So I tried again with another load in cold water. Same thing happened but this time I only had to rewash the clothes one more time. So I'm switching back to the small pods, where I know everything will wash correctly. But will say after the multiple washes the clothes did smell great still. But I do feel like I wasted my money some.

It washes great clothes are clean but I cannot stand the smell of the laundry when it’s done I’ll even try to cover it up and downy and is not helping

I thought this product would be the best but the pods don't dissolve completely during the wash leaving a mess on the clothes.

Too much fragrance. I have HE front load 1 year old machine and lots of suds during rinse. Eliminates odors by covering with strong fragrance. Done with this product.

They are double the size of normal pods. The smell is so strong it burns your eyes. I have rewashed my clothing 4 times. Once with vinegar and once with baking soda and still cannot get rid of the smell.

So I just bought this product and it works amazing!! The size of the pods are so big. I like it! And the smell is really nice as well. It got my clothes looking good and smelling good. I think it was worth the price for the size and amount in the package. Im in love with this and will buy it again!

For the second time I have purchased a container of pods where at least one has broken and leaked throughout the container. This, then, causes the remaining pods to stick together and, when you try to separate them, yeah,a mess!

Been using Tide pods in numerous machines and getting tired of having to treat stains rvery wash... will be switching

Love power pods for easy wash and a mess free load. Recommend throwing in the wash first to let the pod break in the water before adding laundry. Easily can add 2 if dirtier than normal. Great option and only slightly more expensive than bottled detergent

Very nice fresh scent. Removes stains even the super tough and set in ones. Easy to use since you just toss it in with your clothes no need to pour and measure and potentially create a mess. The power pods are bigger so you can do a bigger load

Our household is busy like most, and there never is enough time in a day. In addition to chaotic work schedules, we also have 2 dogs and 2 cats, and as you can imagine, pet messes such as muddy paws or accidents are a normal part of our daily routine! We’ve always used Tide laundry detergent, so when I saw these new hygienic clean power pods, I HAD to try them, although I’ll admit I was a bit skeptical that ONE power pod would do the trick for most loads, EVEN LARGE. Depending on how heavily soiled the messes are, I usually have to do a second wash to get urine odors out, so I was excited to try this! Well, I decided to give it a try on bedding that my 12 year old Jack Russell, who has a weak bladder, had wetted, and VOILA!!! PURE CLEANING MAGIC! My bedding came out of the washer smelling FRESH and stain-free! NO need for that second wash, which is a time and money saver! I still use the regular Tide pods with Oxi for my routine laundry, such as clothing, as they do a fantastic job,, but the big kahunas (super duper power pods) are saved for those muddy, stinky, heavily-soiled jobs! GOOD JOB, TIDE! These Hygienic Clean Power Pods are a game changer!

Great scent...leaves clothes smelling fresh and clean. Removed stains even the tough ones. Easy to use no more messy pouring or having to measure. A little expensive if you have a large family but definitely worth it. Recommend to those who love clean clothes.
