Q: I live in an area with very hard water (approximately 276 ppm). Will I need an additional water softener or will this detergent work well on its own?
A: Thanks for asking, Adriana; it's a great question! All Tide laundry detergents are formulated to work well in hard or soft water when the usage instructions are followed. So there shouldn't be a need for you to add extra water softener. Feel free to give us a call at (800) 879-8433 with any more questions or concerns.

Q: Will this help remove the nasty smell os scented laundry detergent? My daughter washed her clothes at a friend's house and now I can't get the scent out. Thanks!

submitted byAudrey - 1 year agoA: Mary, We're sorry you're having this experience with your daughter's clothes. Our Tide Hygienic Clean will go a long way toward helping you remove the scent, but we have some additional tips for you as well. Rewash with the hottest water safe for the fabric, using the recommended amount of detergent. If clothes are bleach-safe, use bleach while washing. One cup of vinegar can be used if not bleach safe, Soon your daughter's clothing will be scent free. If you have any other questions, please let us know by calling (800) 879-8433.

Q: How can this 84 oz bottle do the same 59 loads as the last bottle I purchased that had 92 oz and stated it did 59 loads?
A: As machines and consumer behavior change over time, we continually update products and packaging to deliver a best-in-class laundry experience. We do this by improving formula performance, updating dosing instructions and optimizing the packing. In this instance, Tide has been concentrated to reduce the usage of water and plastic in each bottle while still delivering the same number of loads prior to concentration.
