This book was okay. Reads very YA, though I don't think it's supposed to be. In the end, I don't really know what the book is about, and it had very little, if any resolutions to any of its several threads. Surprised this was a RBC pick.

This book was so bad. Reeses book club picks are consistently disappointing.
One of my favorite reads this year!

What a stellar (space pun intended) debut novel! I can't stop thinking about this beautiful, intricate, alternatingly haunting and uplifting epic story. Will be re-reading and recommending to all my family and friends - especially to the women in my life and to my LGBTQ+ chosen family.
A must read!

I started this book last night and could not put it down! It's a coming of age story about a cherokee girl who wants to be an astronaut. I've already learned so much! Definitely recommend if you're looking to get drawn in to a good story.
Would give more than 5 if I could!

I really liked how this story was told as I felt very invested what was going to happen next. The theme around family and heritage really clicked with me, and I kept thinking about my own background and relationships while reading. I grabbed it from Reese’s book club picks, and now I get why she chose it. Her recommendations never let me

READ THIS BOOK! I DEVOURED this absolute gem of a novel. It strikes a perfect balance of moving, funny, eye-opening, and heart-wrenching - all with a clever, engaging style of prose that kept me hooked. Ramage grapples with weighty emotional and political issues with nuance, grace, and a sense of humour. Somehow, she managed to weave laugh-out-loud moments throughout the entire novel, even while taking me on a journey of intense feelings as the story progressed. The characters all felt whole and complex, and I loved getting the opportunity to experience them growing and changing through the different eras covered by this book. As a queer person, I enjoyed the oh-so-relatable representations of being a baby-queer growing into queer identity. And as a white person, I was grateful for the generosity of the novel in sharing a Cherokee perspective on Native histories, identities, and communities. I was left feeling tender and hopeful when I finished this novel, and looking forward to reading more from this author!

This was such a fun book to read. The plot was amazing, and the included texts, social media posts, and dating profiles really let us get to know the characters!
