Boy, what can I say.... Everyone prior to me said exactly what I would have said. We have twin 10 month old boys who are crawling/walking along things and needed to keep them in an area safe because they moved into our house with their mom. My house isn't quite baby proof yet and they are becoming mobile entirely too fast... It was shipped completely assembled except for the last section. It wasn't hard to attach the last section and we also use it without attaching it. One end is between a table and a large couch and the other end is on the other side of the large couch between another table. That increases the size of the enclosure and people can still sit on the couch and interact. We love to take it outside as well, but I do wish it had a soft roll out mat that you could purchase separately with velcro straps to make a "bottom" for outside because grass gives the kids a rash on their legs and to help keep the bugs out too. But overall, we just love it.
We love this play yard!!! We got this for our 21 month old grandson when he came to live with us. Due to limited space indoors we only use 6 panels, but outside we use all 8. It can be a bit tricky adding or subtracting panels, but you will get the hang of it. The plastic panels do appear to be on the 'cheap' side, but over all they get the job done and it makes them lighter weight for easier portability (easier to use than a pack-n-play). It folds up fairly easily, I would recommended not being forceful during folding though. I wouldn't pay full price for this, personally I think that's to much. We shopped around online and got this on sale at Target, which was the best deal at the time. The amount of play space is surprisingly good with just 6 panels and phenomenal with the 8 panels. We take this with us when visiting family and friends, to cookouts, and basically anywhere we even think we might need it. No one has to think about baby proofing or little hands accidently breaking something. If you have a baby I would suggest getting the gate, but there really is no need for it with a toddler. The gates latching system definetly has room for improvement, but the usefulness out weights the bad. Over all it's a good product, nothing is perfect, it does what it is supposed to do. I wish they would have had these when my kids were babies!
Very easy to set up, easy to take anywhere. We use it outside and it's perfect for our daughter. She is 10 1/2 months old and like to crawl around and get into everything, this gives me peace of mind. She also likes to pull herself up to stand and this gate is sturdy enough to hold her.
Took no time to install (literally). It's amazing for my nine month old twins who loves to explore. It's keeps them in one area where I can supervise them while they play. I should have bought this sooner!
Purchased for my 10 month old twins so that their grandma could spend more time playing with them instead of chasing after them. There is plenty of room for them both to play. I also like the fact that I can leave the gate open and put one end at one side of my sectional and the other on the other side. This gives them even more room and allows for interactions with the rest of the family sitting on the couch. This can be made into any shape to accommodate your space and is extremely portable. I took it with me when we went to visit their great grandma and I was able to fold it up, carry it and place in my trunk with ease. The easiest way to baby proof your home in 5 seconds. Also it folds up and can be put away in a jiffy. My son and daughter pull themselves up and shake on the gate and it's very stable. I will get years of use out of this.
