The Toddleroo by North StatesRiverstone Extra Tall & Wide Baby Gate gives parents the peace of mind their child will be safe and secure. The gravity-fed hinge door allows this gate to shuts firmly and gently behind you with one simple push. For added convenience, the gate door swings open both ways and offers a triple-locking system to keep your little one protected. To keep the gate open, just push the door past 90 degrees and the hold-open feature will kick-in, preventing closure. The Toddleroo Riverstone Extra Tall & Wide gate pressure mounts effortlessly by using tension knobs to lock the gate in place. This safety gate has a graphite finish that will complement any home decor, and its heavy-duty steel metal construction is built to last. It is ideal for a variety of room openings or at the bottom of stairs measuring 29.75 to 52 inches wide with three extensions included, and is an extra-tall 36 inches high.

A: Thank you for your question. The Riverstone Extra Tall and Wide Baby Gate easily uninstalls by using the small wrench included with the hardware set to loosen each tension knob.

Q: can we place this gate at the top of the stairs? does it come with hardware to secure it to the wall or just a pressure gate?

A: Thank you for your question. Because the Riverstone Extra Tall and Wide Baby Gate is strictly pressure-mounted gate, it should not be used at the top of the stairs. The mounting hardware is included with the gate, but the hardware only installs it with tension and does not permanantly attach it to the mounting surface.

Q: Is there a way to get this to fit a 72" opening? Are there any extension packs or, if we had to, would it work if I buy two and use only the extension packs from the second? Thanks!

A: Thank you for your question. There are not additional extensions available to increase the size of the Riverstone Extra Tall and Wide Baby Gate. The maximum width it will fit is 52 inches.

Q: when opening, do you have to unlatch at top and bottom? will it swing shut and latch or do you have to manually latch? Will the gate accommodate different widths at top and bottom of opening?

A: Thank you for reaching out to us with these questions. To open the door panel of the gate, you do not have unlatch the top and bottom. You simply use your thumb to slide a tab on the upper latch, while also squeezing the trigger on the underside of the upper latch. Then, lift the door panel upwards simultaneously, allowing the door to swing open. To close the gate, simply release it and it will auto-close and latch. It does have a stay-open feature, however, and this can be used by opening the door further than 90 degrees. It then will remain open until it is swung closed. This should only be use by adults and not when children are present. The gate can accomodate a slight variance in the upper and lower measurements, but it really depends on the difference. To get a better idea, you can view the instruction manual for the gate to determine if the two measurements you need fall into the window that allows the gate to fit your space. The instruction manual can be found on the manufacture's website.

A: Thank you for your question. Yes, the Riverstone Extra Tall and Wide Baby Gate will fit a 48" doorway. When installing the gate you will need to use only two out of the three included extensions. The instruction manual will walk you through installation.

A: Thank you for your question. Yes, this gate can be pressure mounted on a solid, flat surface such as wood or drywall. You can use it in between doorways, hallways or at the bottom of a staircase.

Q: I see it says 36" tall, but can you verify the exact height at the top of the side mount bracket? My banister is only 35" tall, so just wondering if too tall.

Sturdy and Versatile, But Frustrating to Set Up
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Overall, this extra wide gate/playard offers good versatility for blocking off large spaces, but the setup and operation could definitely be improved. The biggest hurdle was the assembly. The instructions were not straightforward or intuitive to follow, which turned a simple task into a bit of a project. It took my husband a solid 30 minutes to finally get it all set up and secure. Once installed, it works, but I found the opening mechanism to be clunky. It requires a bit of effort and isn't as smooth as I would like, which can be annoying when you have your hands full. While it gets the job done as a wide barrier, be prepared for a slightly frustrating setup and a somewhat awkward latch system.

Sleek, study and tall height for kids and pets
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The gate comes with multiple accessories to allow you to fit it to multiple doorways and frames. It’s very durable and sturdy and the graphite color makes it very sleek. It secures tightly to the wall to prevent children and pets from being able to push through. It also has locks at the bottom and requires several actions on the handle to open it and keep toddlers from opening it. The instructions are clear if you read them. Don’t try to just look at the pictures without reading the instructions as you’ll miss some steps. Getting it installed solo was a little difficult and took longer than I wanted it too. You need a few tools to get it all together and adjusted. Overall it’s a nice design and sturdy gate. I really like that I can use it in multiple places at my home with all of the adjustments.

It works out so perfect for my kids and my dog to keep them from getting into the kitchen while cooking so they don’t get burnt!! It was so easy to install and read the directions! Sturdy baby gate that I can trust for my baby
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Toddleroo baby gate by North States feels very strong and sturdy, much better than the plastic ones. It was easy to install in minutes, and I would definitely trust it for a stairway. I use it to separate my dog and my four-month-old baby, which gives me peace of mind. I wasn’t sure if the first spot I chose was the best, since proper installation would mean removing baseboards, but I think I’ll set it up at the stairs where it fits perfectly.
