A: We’ve designed Toniebox 2 in a way that lets us roll out new features as soon as they’re available. While headphone listening is not available right now (Oct 14, 2025), it will be soon and then you will be able to use any wired headphones. Once Bluetooth connectivity for headphones is available you will be able to use any third party Bluetooth headphones. We’ll let you know as soon as that feature has rolled out.

Defective
We've had the tonie box 1 for many years and have loved it. My 2 year old has become obsessed and since it belongs to my 7 year old and they were having a war over who gets to pick the tonie I decided to gift the first one to my youngest and buy the new one for my oldest. Upon taking it out of the box I was surprised to find the charging cable is about 3 inches long. It is literally useless so had to buy a charging cable for it. I do like the new design but it should come with a cable that can actually be used. Set up was fairly easy on the app. The light ring and the new color options are neat. However, I received a defective product. Every single time a tonie is played and no matter which one we try it doesn't take long before it starts stuttering like a broken record. It does that for about 10 long seconds before it restarts itself. Support was quick to respond and told me to do a factory reset. I did that twice and the problem persists. Support was again quick to respond and provided me a coupon code for a replacement that I ordered from their website. We're waiting for it to arrive but reading the reviews on the website I'm not too hopeful we won't have the same issue with the replacement.

I’ve heard people rave about these for years, but I’m not too impressed. I have the Ms. Rachel and DoggyLand Tonies, and if you take one off and try to put the other one it doesn’t play. You have to take it off and put it back on 3 or 4 times before it will play. Maybe it’s user error? But everyone said these were toddler friendly and this one definitely isn’t.

Definitely worth the upgrade!!
Just got my hands on the Toniebox 2 and wow, this is a serious upgrade. The USB-C charging alone is a game changer, but the sleek new design and expanded features really take it to the next level. The light ring adds a fun interactive touch, and Tonieplay games are a brilliant addition for screen-free play. Love that it’s toddler-friendly now and still works with all our old Tonies.

Toniebox 2 has added Tonies Play which are unique, one of a kind games for kids to enjoy as they grow up. It remains maybe one of the most underrated media players of all time.
