It makes me feel secure that side leaks get caught and they help secure the pad even more. The pad stays put. I did not experience any twists or bunching, even when working out. It is very absorbent for a thin pad. The wrappers are pretty designs and don't tear or come undone in my bag. They also help make disposal easier. My favorite feature is the raised core. I felt dry and that the odor was controlled.

Packaging is easy to roll ya used pad back into for easy clean up and disposal. I also feel like these trap the undesired scent of blood.
