A: Yes, mine is currently VERY smelly and we've had it for 17 months now. Ive tried everything to make it not stink- deodorizers, bleach, letting it sit in the sun for hours- and nothing helps. This morning I walked into my sons room after him sleeping with the door shut for 11 hours and the whole room smelled of the diaper pail, and the lid was shut. Ive determined its just time to get rid of the pail sadly.
A: Hi there! The Ubbi diaper pail is made of steel and paired with rubber seals to create an airtight container that keeps all odors locked inside. Due to its contents the inside of the pail can smell and when the lids are opened, some odors may escape, but our promise is that the odors will not permeate through the steel into the room when the lids are closed. The Ubbi diaper pail does not require any special refills and can be used with any standard size kitchen trash bag which allows for more frequent bag changing. We do have a lavender-scented odor absorbing gel as well as our lavender-scented diaper sacks to individually wrap diapers to help keep the smell at bay.
A: Yes totally easy. Agree with the response above. We've had the foot petal and it stinks up the place after opening it.
A: Hi there! The sliding lid of the Ubbi diaper pail can easily be used with one hand while dealing with a squirming baby! The sliding lid is actually engaged with a magnet to further keep the container airtight, but just simply slightly push down on the handle and slide the lid back. To close the sliding lid, there is no need to push down on the handle because the magnet is already disengaged so just slide it back into the closed position. The reason that the Ubbi diaper pail was designed with a sliding lid rather than a foot pedal is because the sliding lid minimizes air disruption and is only large enough to quickly drop in a tightly rolled up diaper whereas pails with foot pedals maximize air disruption and can further waft odors into the air. Thanks!
A: The ubbi trash bag box says they are 13 gallon
A: No special bags are required for this diaper pail. You can use Ubbi bags, your standard kitchen trash bags, etc.
A: Hi there. Thank you for your interest in the Ubbi diaper pail! The pail comes in a variety of colors to match any nursery! Our white pail’s body is made white with a powder coated paint directly on top of the steel. It’s accent parts are made from 100% recycled material so the two white’s may not be a perfect match, but overall, it is a bright white. Please do reach out with any other questions you may have. Thanks!
A: Thank you for your interest in the Ubbi diaper pail! The Ubbi diaper pail’s opening was designed to be big enough to fit one tightly rolled up baby diaper of the largest size. Adult incontinence products can be quite bigger, which would need a larger opening generally. This is a common question and something we have considered and talked about in great length, but we have not pursued, at least not yet. Thank you for reaching out and if you have any other questions, please don’t hesitate to ask!
A: Thanks so much for your inquiry about the Ubbi diaper pail! One of the primary benefits of the Ubbi diaper pail, besides the odor locking steel, is that no special bags, refills, or inserts are needed. While we do sell plastic bags, they are simply a plus and not a must! For a regular garbage bag, we recommend a 12 gallon, or 45 liter trash bag. The pail will hold as many as 55 newborn diapers, and we recommend changing the bag 2x a week, or more frequently, since no special bags are used. If you have any other questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to contact us at service@ubbiworld.com or call us at 718-422-0592 Monday through Friday, 9:30 am - 6:00 pm EST. Thanks again!
