The rug goes on a tile floor in the entry. I was afraid I would come in the door and the rug would slide and I would fall, so I got the slip mat. I am glad I did because it holds the rug in place perfectly.

I like this very simple and inexpensive rug pad because it keeps the rug from slipping on tile floors while being extremely thin, so the Rug can appear to be lying directly on the floor. That’s what it’s meant for and that’s what it does.

The rug pad requires a bit of help to get it centered under the rug, but I’ve found the rug likes to ‘wander’ a bit as it gets used. I think it would ‘gallop’ without the pad, so I’m glad I got it.
