About as thick as all the other plush rug pads I've purchased, but still slides around. Had to put a thin no slip pad under this rug pad to keep it from sliding around.

Puchased this recommended product for a kitchen runner. Glad I did, prevents slipping (making vacuuming easier) and adds comfort.
