So TOUGH!
I should have known by the way this meet looked when I was cutting into 1” cubes to brown for stew that it would be very tough cut. I dredged the cubes of stew meat in n flour, browned them on all sides and added the vegetables and beef broth for a 2 1/2 hour braise in the slow oven. We were looking forward to a good hearty winter meal of delicious beef stew. Well, what disappointment for all when we served the stew and found the vegetables and broth to be delicious and melt in your mouth tender and the beef cubes to be too tough to chew! I would never buy this product again. A few words to the wise - use a different type and cut of meat if you want a a delicious tender beef stew product!
