Lidocaine and hydrocortisone reduce itching, redness and swelling while allantoin helps stimulate wound healing.

After just one wash, the redness calmed down and she wasn’t scratching nearly as much. It rinses clean and leaves her coat soft without a strong medicated smell. The only challenge is keeping it on for a few minutes before rinsing, but the relief it gives makes it worth it.

Every once in a while we notice her itching and licking, so we were excited to give the Veterinary Formula Clinical Care Hot Spot Shampoo a try. Bath time was actually pretty easy. The formula lathered well, rinsed out quickly, and didn’t leave any residue behind. I followed the directions by massaging it into the irritated spots and letting it sit for a few minutes before rinsing. Overall, it’s been such a helpful addition to our routine, and I love that it’s gentle enough for her sensitive skin.

He loves exploding through grassy fields but is allergic to grass and dust mites so his paws get very red and itchy which makes him lick his paws constantly which makes the itchiness worse. After just using this soap for the first time I noticed it helped with the itching. He still have day where his constantly licks his paws, but the redness is going away day by day. If your dog deals with itchy red skin or hot patches this is a good soap to try.

It seems to soothe the hot spots almost immediately, reducing redness and scratching.The shampoo has a pleasant scent and lathers nicely without being too harsh on his skin. It's gentle yet effective and rinses easily. I like that it has lidocaine, hydrocortisone and colloidal oatmeal to help soothe and moisturize his skin, plus, it is paraben, dye and soap free. This shampoo is great for keeping dogs skin calm, clean and comfortable. I highly recommend for any pet who suffers from hot spots or dry itchy skin.

She has ongoing fleas for the entire summer due to the stray cats in our backyard. She’s very itching, always scratching and her skin is usually red and irritated. She even lost a lot of fur from all of her scratching. It was fairly easy to use this shampoo and rinse it out. She is a large dog so all baths are outdoors with a water hose. Best tip is to make sure to get in between the toes, behind the ears and other the neck with the shampoo too. There are still fleas since she goes outside and catch them again but I’m very happy to see that it’s not as much as before and she is no longer having red and itchy skin. This shampoo gave her a lot of relief
