Lidocaine and hydrocortisone reduce itching, redness and swelling while allantoin helps stimulate wound healing.

I didn’t want to use anything harsh on his skin, so I gave this a shot. I sprayed it on the area a couple times a day (especially after walks or before bed), and honestly, within a few uses, I could already tell he was way less bothered by it. He wasn’t obsessively licking anymore, and the redness started to calm down. The spray doesn’t have a strong smell and he didn’t react negatively to it at all—no running away like he does with some other stuff Tip: I made sure the area was dry and clean before spraying, and gently patted it in after letting it sit for a minute. That seemed to help it soak in better! It’s been about a week now and I’m definitely keeping this on hand from now on. It’s made a real difference in keeping him comfortable without having to resort to more intense stuff.

Tip: I recommend using a clean cotton pad to wipe the area before spraying. Also, distract your dog with treats or a toy after applying to avoid immediate licking. She will lick and scratch constantly in the affected areas to the point hair falls off. We have been using Veterinary Products HotSpot spray for years now. Im my opinion there is nothing better on the market. Within a few minutes of the first spray treatment she appears less bothered and licking has minimized. By the time the second and third spray of the day, Holly isn't scratching or licking the affected area as much. Within 2 to 3 days of use the spots are no longer red and Holly isn't scratching or licking and seems a lot happier. I make sure the affected area is clean and hair is brushed away before spraying and keep her out of the grass until the area is dry.

I have a 4 month old Doberman and she has dry skin especially under her arm pits. She was scratching at it making it worse and more irritated/inflammed, before I noticed it as well she was wearing a harness that was also rubbing against it. So I sprayed it over pit ONE time and the very next day it was completely gone. It says not to let them lick it so I sprayed it while she was asleep and she didn’t seem to mind because she went right back to sleep. During the day the redness started to go away and become less inflamed, the very next day it was all pink skin colored and no bumps. 10/10 recommend.
