Vornado UH200 Ultrasonic Humidifier with Auto Humidity Control Remote and Electronic Humidistat: 800-1000 sq. ft., 24-Hour Run Time, No Filter Needed

Needed a large room humidifier for and open space living area. My room was about 29% humidity and needed something to help. This unit does the job. Easy to fill and lid is secure to return it to the unit. With about 2 gallons of water it can be heavy to carry. Quiet and looks great in my living room. Helps me and my plants. Both doing better.

I bought the UH200 humidifier about a month ago because our 100 year old home has hot water heat (boiler) which is very efficient but also very dry. We use it in the bedroom. I find that it works fairly well. The only issue is that it makes loud “glug” “glug” noises which come from the large water tank. The noises are quite loud and wake me up. There are no leaks and no other reasons I can see for this noise. Otherwise it makes a low purring sound and makes a very fine mist which are ok. I had to stop using it. My solution is to operate the humidifier on weekends during the day when I’m off of work then turn it off when we go to bed. I might recommend the humidifier but only to a sound sleeper. Too bad about the glug glug noises. They’re so loud I can hear it when I’m downstairs in another room!

I've had several Vornado units, each of worked well for the expected lifetime, so the UH200 was a natural choice. It humidifies well, putting ~3 gallons per day into the air. It's very quiet (which is welcome). The tank design seems good, in that it has a flat surface so it supports itself during filling. The tank is easy to clean. However, removing the bottom from the tank (for filling) is quite difficult. There is an ~1/8 turn cam locking system; the cover must be fully secured before use. Removing the cover requires WAY too much torque. Anyone with wrist problems, beware!

I bought two months ago and love and like the way does the job in my living room.

The remote that comes with the humidifier has a humidor sensor. Since the remote has a sensor the remote can be placed anywhere in the large room away from the location of the humidifier. The automatic humidity settings work fantastic for our large living/dining room!

I live in Ohio, and we usually have our furnace turned on 5 to 6 months out of the year. Because we have the furnace on so often and all of our bedrooms are on the upstairs level of our home, it makes our bedrooms all become and feel very dry. For years I have had small humidifiers in each bed room. I would have to refill them every evening and be sure to turn them on each evening as well before we would all head to bed. Since I have began using the whole room ultrasonic humidifier it has simplified my evening ritual in so many ways. This humidifier can hold approximately two gallons of water so you only need to fill it 1-2 times per week (depending on the level of humidity you want released). You have the ability to set timers, control the amount of humidity you want released, the fan speed can be adjusted as well as the temperature with it’s easy to use touch pad on the humidifier. It also comes with a remote that allows you to make all the same adjustments and also has a screen on it to let you know what the humidity level is. This humidifier covers such a large space/ area that I am able to place it in my hallway of my upstairs and it covers all three of my homes bedrooms. We do not wake up feeling dried out but refreshed from a great nights sleep with the help of this humidifier. We love this humidifier because it is low maintenance and is of the highest quality. I would recommend it to anyone who has a dry home just as we do or just needs some humidity in the air. The humidifier is very quiet, easy to move (not heavy at all) and easy to clean. It comes with a very easy to use and understand manual that comes in many languages. I personally buy gallons of water so that the water is clean and purified that we are placing in the air of our household because we have well water where I live, but it is definitely worth it to feel refreshing in the morning. If you are looking for a great performing humidifier I would encourage you to try this one out.

I’ve been wanting one for a good while but never having had one before, I wasn’t sure it would help. We moved from a humid climate to a dry climate just over a year ago and I have been suffering. I didn’t know what it was - allergies? I got this humidifier for my bedroom and use it every evening while I sleep. Boy has it made a difference. I wake up without the dry nostrils - nasal sprays didn’t help a bit - but this has made a huge difference. I highly recommend!

We use a propane fireplace through the winter which really makes our house dry, Since adding this in, it has cut back on the dryness in our house. It has been amazing for us. I am actually looking into purchasing another unit for our second story to cut down on it even more. Great Product, easy setup, cleanup, and fill up.

So I started a few years ago with Vornado's filter pad humidifiers and got extremely tired of the dirty filters, pink filters, etc etc and decided this year to switch it up. I was really worried about the getting the "white dust" from ultrasonic humidifiers, but what I really like about this one is that it has the fan that 'pushes' the humidity upwards instead of just falling to the ground. Overall expierence is I love it. I'm not a paid reviewer, nor did I get a free unit to review. I bought it and I use it. I keep the unit running on continuous and it keeps my whole first floor open concept cape cod home around 50% humidty, give or take some on certain days. We ended up getting better coverage with the unit sitting somewhere we always walk past instead of tucking it in a corner of the house. The downstairs area is roughly 1000sq ft. I fill the cansiter once in the morning (8am) and once at night (10pm). It's SO much better than filling 4 canisters (2 units) mulitple times a day with the old filter pad units. One thing you need to do is CLEAN THE UNIT!!! I would say once a week clean the unit. I pushed it to roughly two weeks and it was disgusting in the base. Even with a filtration system in my home, the water still gets a little gross. One reason is because it pulls unfiltered air into the unit to supply the fan. So I feel like the dust getting drawn in doesn't help with that issue. Maybe they could put a cheap paper filter on the intake screen? Either way, CLEAN THE UNIT! And clean it with a non-abrasive pad or towel of some sort so you don't make micro scratches in the plastic that harbour even more little gross things. I really can't say anything I dislike about the unit. Vornado made a really great product.

I filled it with water and it does not not leak at all. It is very nice looking so I don’t mind it being in the room.This humidifier has made such a great difference in my home.I absoluty love the benefits we've noticed since we started using this humidifier. My whole family feels better in general. I no longer get dry itchy eyes, or dry skin, and my grandsons allergy symptoms have dramatically decreased. None of us get bloody noses anymore either Also , I've noticed that my plants look healthier. I really like my new humidifier

But especially my youngest son that also has asthma on top of allergies and this has been a life saver! it has really helped with his congestion and resting better. Easy to fill up And even easier to set the remote was wonderful and I love it how it has a temperature it you can have a warm or cool l rooms great it sits On my bed stand. Very easy to fill the water and it’s a clear container making it easy to see when water is getting low. There is a fan that blows out the water into the air. Had some issues with it staying on at the being where it would go red and tell us to check water when water was full. We shut off and unplug and reset. Other than that I love it. The air feels so good with humidity in it! No more itchy skin or static.
