A: Thank you so much for checking out the Canopy x Target 4-in-1 Humidifier and for asking about noise. This model uses the same overall internal setup as the Canopy Bedside Humidifier 2.0, so some gentle water movement or bubbling as the reservoir refills the internal tray is normal.
If you’re noticing louder "gurgling" or bubbling, placing the humidifier on a completely flat, stable surface, making sure the tank is fully seated and twisted into place can help reduce it.

A: While the Canopy 4-in-1 Humidifier doesn’t come with aroma oils or diffusion accessories included, every box of Canopy aroma oils does include an Aroma Stone for diffusion.
To use it, simply place the stone on the top grate of your humidifier and add a few drops of your favorite oil at a time. For a stronger aromatherapy experience, you can also use a diffusion well, this accessory is designed to sit inside the unit on the tray in the center of the filter. It allows the scent to circulate through the air as the fan runs.

It would be helpful to determine whether the issue lies with the USB-C cable or the unit itself. Could you please try using a different USB-C cable to plug in your Canopy Humidifier? Most standard USB-C cables available on the market are compatible with our humidifiers. If it powers on with a different cable, then the problem is likely with the original cable. Alternatively please try the USB-C cable you have with another power brick, as that may be where the power issue lies, and I want to make sure we're replacing the malfunctioning element. If the issue persists even with a different cable or brick, there may be an internal problem with the unit. Gets moldy

Maybe its a ghost?
The design is nice & I liked that you can put it in the dishwasher but mine would randomly turn on multiple times during the day when I know I turned it off. One time I came home to it on the highest level with the tank empty but it kept running. Another time I was fixing my child’s bed & it turned on to the medium level setting. I unplugged it now & will search for a different one cause I don’t think this one made much of a difference anyways & I’m worried about it being plugged in all day & night. Not worth the money honestly.

We're always grateful for feedback from customers using our products in their homes. I'm sorry to hear that you're not satisfied with the performance of your Canopy Humidifier. There's no way to turn the Canopy Humidifier fully off while there's still water in the tray. Pushing the button to switch to the Off setting will shut down your humidifier for10 hours, but if there's still water present it will reactivate and run until all the water has been used. This is to maintain the best possible performance and reduce the possibility of mold growth. If you would like to shut your Canopy Humidifier off quickly we recommend removing the water tank and emptying it, as well as the tray. Once this has been done and you put it back together the fan will run until it dries out the remaining moisture. You can set it to High to quickly dry the filter. Do not force turn off your humidifier by unplugging it while there is still water in the tray. Leaving water stagnant in the tank and tray can increase the likelihood of mold growth. A couple of the behaviors you described can happen based on the setting selected. If the unit is set to a manual fan speed, it will continue running at that speed until it is turned off, even after the tank is empty. If it is set to Auto Mode, the fan speed can adjust on its own as the lighting in the room changes, including shifting to Medium when the room gets darker.

Just Not Good
I really wanted to like this, but the filter has to be changed constantly even though I was diligently cleaning and letting the air filter dry out during the day when not in use. For $100, I’m bummed that I couldn’t get this to work out for us.

I bought this humidifier after my baby ended up sick and in the hospital. I was hoping it would help with her congestion, but honestly, it seemed to make things worse. I’m also someone who gets congested easily, so I bought it for myself as well, and it didn’t help me either. My boyfriend has even complained about being extremely congested over the past couple of weeks, but only when he’s staying at my place. After using this humidifier for just 3 days straight, I noticed a strange smell coming from it. I started cleaning it daily, but the smell never went away. Based on many other reviews, I’m concerned it may be mold-related, which would also explain why everyone in my home has been congested and sneezing. Now my room smells terrible, which is especially frustrating because one of the main selling points of this humidifier is that it’s supposedly designed to prevent mold growth. What’s even more disappointing is that it doesn’t seem to increase the humidity in the room at all. I have a temperature and humidity meter, and the readings barely changed while the humidifier was running. It mostly felt like it was just blowing cool air. The filter is another issue. I use distilled water exclusively, yet the filter started turning brown after only 3 days. For a product at this price point, needing frequent filter replacements makes no sense—especially when distilled water is being used. The aromatherapy feature is also misleading. The aroma oil isn’t included and has to be purchased separately. To make matters worse, it’s not readily available in stores like Target. Overall, I feel like this product is overhyped by influencers and doesn’t live up to its advertising. Between the odor, lack of noticeable humidity improvement, filter issues, and high ongoing costs, I cannot recommend it. Save your money and do your research before buying this humidifier. I will be trying to return this today!

Since you mentioned you are planning to return the unit, we want to make sure we still address what you experienced: The Odor & Filter: The brown discoloration is actually normal mineral trapping, but the smell typically happens if the filter stays saturated for too long. We always recommend letting the humidifier run completely dry between refills so our Smart Persistent Airflow technology can fully dry out the filter and prevent odors. The Humidity Levels: Canopy uses evaporative technology, which automatically stops evaporating once a room reaches an optimal 40-60% humidity. It won't create a visible mist or exceed 60%, and it can sometimes struggle to show huge jumps if it's competing with an AC or heater. Aroma Oils: While our standard Bedside Humidifier bought directly from our site includes an aroma sample, the retail units do have the oils sold separately. How is this a top humidifier?
I purchased this item under the impression that it was the best of the best in the market, but have been disappointed with my $100 purchase. The night light - never worked. Change filter light - never worked. The tank is too big for what you need to run overnight and it WILL NOT STOP until it is empty. At minimum it could have helpful tank indicators for how much to fill. It was also a disgusting shock the first time I finally changed the filter (because again, no filter indicator light to tell me to replace ever turned on). They recommend changing the filter every 4-8 weeks, and at $23 for a 2-pack, that's an additional $70 - $160 a year, just to keep the thing running!

The “sound machine” is the fan of the machine that is not loud and does not sound soothing. The aroma therapy option does not come with the humidifier and you can’t buy it in store. All of these things are not advertised onthe box.

Moldy, Do not buy!
Very moldy after two weeks of use. I really excited about this humidifier as it claims to have anti mold technology and it is mist free. I used it according to instructions and let it dry completely before filling the tank again. I kept checking the filter too and all the parts, no black or pink mold. A couple of days later, the entire filter was covered in mold. I was horrified, same steps were followed to run the water our completely to let the filter dry. They claim filter needs to be replaced every 4-6 weeks, not every week! They are expensive to replace that often. Definitely do not recommend this product, I'd rather stick to a normal mist humidifier and just clean the parts every couple of days, definitely cost saving. Do not buy.

Best humidifier ever!
I rarely leave reviews but I was initially worried to get this when I saw so many of the positives were part of a promotion and so many other negative reviews. However I have to say this humidifier is great! I plan to get a second for our room. I wish I had bought this for our daughter’s nursery instead of throwing away two other humidifiers that despite regular cleaning and humidifier fish still turned moldy. I have been able to use regular water, put pieces in the dishwasher regularly, and her purifier still is showing clean air unlike with her old humidifiers! Her room also feels much better, with humidity increasing from 46% to 52-56%! This may not work for a main floor, but works perfectly for average sized bedrooms.

Filters don't last
It is a littler louder than others, but is very easy to clean. My problem is the filters are not lasting 5-7 weeks like the company says they should. The last around 2 weeks then start getting a sour/moldy smell.

The volume of the fan varies depending on what setting you have your Humidifier set to, Low, Medium, or High. The higher the setting the louder the fan. As for your filter, please allow your Canopy Humidifier to complete its cycle and run dry before refilling the tank. Allowing the filter to be wet continuously without periodical drying can certainly compromise its performance. If you would like to shut your Canopy Humidifier off quickly we recommend removing the water tank and emptying it, as well as the tray. Once this has been done and you put it back together the fan will run until it dries out the remaining moisture. You can set it to High to quickly dry the filter. All the good reviews are paid reviews. Doesn’t come with aroma diffuser or anywhere to put any. For 80$ get yourself something different. Will be returning.

Although it supports aromatherapy with a dedicated spot for an Aroma Stone and diffusion well, aroma oils are not included, though they are sold separately through Target and on our site. This makes literally no difference in the humidity level in a room, even while running on high. It's also pretty loud and as the other reviews mention, the filter needs to be changed very frequently. It's just a waste of money because it does nothing.

We're always grateful for feedback from customers using our products in their homes. I'm sorry to hear that you're not satisfied with the performance of your Canopy Humidifier. The volume of the fan varies depending on what setting you have your Humidifier set to, Low, Medium, or High. The higher the setting the louder the fan. Additionally, the Canopy Humidifier was built to maintain optimal humidity in a 500 sq ft room (roughly 25X20 ft, though this is dependent on ceiling height). The recommended humidity for your home is between 40-60% indoors. Our evaporative technology limits the humidifier from exceeding 60% because the rate of evaporation changes as the surrounding environment becomes more saturated. These levels of humidity may drop if there is an air conditioner or overactive heater in the room, which the humidifier is competing with. If you're not seeing the change you'd like you may want to try a smaller room. Most of our customers prefer to use their humidifiers in their bedrooms to improve sleep. Good for sleeping
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It’s cover a regular size room I keep it next to the bed to help. It operates good so far it’s quiet so I can sleep and it doesn’t weigh too heavy so I can lift easily. Its value is great compared to high tech ones.

Not worth the money
I bought this for my infant sons room & unfortunately this item does not create much humidity. Paired with needing filter change frequently. (While I understand this is due to water quality I am now in a position of buying distilled water or buying filters.) I am highly disappointed in this purchase & wish I would have just bought a cheaper levoit like I used to have.

Broke after 1 year
Loved it for a while, but then it stopped turning on after 1 year. The warranty is (you guessed it) 1 year. Do not buy this item and I think Target also should not sell this item.

Everyone should this!!!
