Phrchased used one

I’ve had two of these in the past three years. Works okay. BEWARE when purchasing though. My son was sick so I went to purchase one to keep at my in laws where we were visiting at the time. Soon as we opened it we noticed mold and the base of the tank had an oily substance so the item was definitely used and resold.

I have owned this for one year exactly. When it was being stored, i made sure it was completely dry and clean per the instructions. i used it today after it was in storage for a few months and it works ok, but the light flashes out of control and i’m not able to turn it off. Obviously not something you should have in any sleeping persons room but especially not a sick baby.

Only use it when kiddo is sick

I liked that it helps my toddler sleep at night and during his naps. I only use it when he sleeps and it’s worked fine for my toddler. I make sure I let it air dry before I put it away and package it back up. I only use it when my kid is sick. So far we like it!

Helped My Sick Toddler Sleep Through the Night

I bought this because my 18-month-old was very sick and struggling to breathe at night due to a super stuffy nose. He was so uncomfortable, and nothing seemed to help. After reading so many great reviews, I decided to try this humidifier — and it honestly made such a difference. The mist kept the air moist enough for him to breathe easier, and he was finally able to sleep through the night while he was sick. The gentle nightlight and diffuser are nice bonuses too. I’m really grateful I found this and definitely recommend it to other parents with little ones.

Impossible to clean

Impossible to clean! I have had so many issues with cleaning this because there are so many small areas that I can’t even get to with a toothbrush. I’ve always had Ipsy with this spewing mineral deposits all over the place, even using distiller water.

Vicks Humidifier

I’m extremely disappointed with this Vicks humidifier. When I first purchased it, I was happy with the design and the amount of mist it produced. Unfortunately, that didn’t last long. After only a few months of use, it completely stopped working. It no longer powers on, and nothing I’ve tried- cleaning, resetting, or checking the cord has fixed the issue. I followed the cleaning instructions and took good care of it, so there’s no reason it should have failed so quickly. Very disappointed in the quality and reliability.

Won't stay clean

We had a bigger VICKs humidifier w/ nigth light before for our kids room and it worked great so when we needed another one, gave this one a try. Pros - 1. Love the vicks tabs you can put in them, it makes the room smell good and I think helps the kids too. 2. The night light on this one is cute, doesn't put out much light but enough and changes colors. Cons - 1. The tank is super small, I have to refill it almost every night. 2. The water pools at the bottom so even if it "runs out" of water, there is a little bit that sits in the basin at the bottom and gets dirty and moldy/mildew-y The previous one would be bone dry if it ran out of water so there wasn't just sitting water if you didn't need it or forgot to fill it. 3. The tank gets gross too and it is all hard to clean and shouldn't need to be cleaned as often as it does.

Mold!

One week and, like others have experienced, it smelled like mold. Nothing I did took it out: scalding hot water rinse, bleach, nothing; and, I had mold inhibiting essential oils in the water, so it shouldn't have become moldy in the first place.

Didn't Work

My son is very congested with the flu so we got this hoping to make his night smoother. We set it up and followed every direction exactly as stated on the manual. The light works but no mist comes out. Very disappointed.
