Q: Does the humidifier make any gurgling or spitting noises on the low setting?
A: I bought 2 units on 12/23/2017 online here and have been using for 2 days. One unit was making popping noises say every half an hour or so. May have to get an exchange.
submitted bySLYK - 7 years agoA: My humidifier has been pretty quiet on the low setting. No hissing or gurgling noise.
submitted byA500 - 7 years agoA: Thank you for your inquiry Hailey. This unit should not make any spitting noises. However, there will be some gurgling as water leaves the tank and is replaced by air, as with any non-top-fill humidifier. If you have any other questions please do not hesitate to contact our consumer relations team by emailing us at SocialSupport@HelenofTroy.com. Thank you.

submitted byMimi - 7 years agoA: It has been a while since I last used it, but I recall it making a very gentle, soothing sound that helped me sleep. It is a very nice humidifier, and I recommend it.
submitted byJEL - 7 years agoA: I've not heard a spitting noise, but the gurgling noise is there.

Q: How do I fill the tank with water?
A: We will be happy to provide that information. To fill the water tank, remove the tank from the base and turn it upside down. Unscrew the cap that is located on the now exposed base of the unit. The cap will unscrew to the left. Once the cap is removed, you can put water into the tank. Make sure to line the cap up correctly and tighten it before turning the tank right side up. If you have any other questions, please do not hesitate to contact our consumer relations team by emailing us at SocialSupport@helenoftroy.com. Thank you.
submitted byManufacturer Tech Support - 2 years agoBrand expertA: It's disappointing that so many humidifiers are manufactured to fill via bottom side twist-valve-cap versus top fill. The bottom-fill process is awkward & often difficult, especially for the elderly.

Q: Please clarify the difference between this warm mist humidifier and a vaporizer? Answers to other questions leave me more confused than when I started.
A: Our trusted friends at Helen Troy Company will be happy to help you clarify this, so give them a call at 800 – 827 – 6712. We hope you find your answer soon!
submitted byVicks - 4 years agoBrand expertA: Thank you for your inquiry. A warm mist humidifier has a heating element that internally heats up, and through convection, heats and boils the water. A vaporizer is made of two carbon electrodes that send arcs of electricity through the minerals in the water. This arcing energizes the water to the point that it vaporizes, or turns into vapor. If you have any other questions please do not hesitate to contact our consumer relations team by emailing us at SocialSupport@helenoftroy.com. Thank you.
