Q: Does the humidifier make any gurgling or spitting noises on the low setting?
A: I bought 2 units on 12/23/2017 online here and have been using for 2 days. One unit was making popping noises say every half an hour or so. May have to get an exchange.

Q: How do I fill the tank with water?
A: We will be happy to provide that information. To fill the water tank, remove the tank from the base and turn it upside down. Unscrew the cap that is located on the now exposed base of the unit. The cap will unscrew to the left. Once the cap is removed, you can put water into the tank. Make sure to line the cap up correctly and tighten it before turning the tank right side up. Q: What kind of water should you use?

Q: Please clarify the difference between this warm mist humidifier and a vaporizer? Answers to other questions leave me more confused than when I started.
A: Thank you for your inquiry. A warm mist humidifier has a heating element that internally heats up, and through convection, heats and boils the water. A vaporizer is made of two carbon electrodes that send arcs of electricity through the minerals in the water. This arcing energizes the water to the point that it vaporizes, or turns into vapor. Q: what is the weight when filled with water?
A: Thank you for your inquiry. This unit weighs around 5lbs, and holds 1 gallon of water, which will add 8lbs to the unit. However, please do not move the unit while the tank is on the unit and there is water in the unit. Make sure to move this unit and the tank separately. Q: I purchased this humidifier to replace an older model I had. Are you supposed to smell the Vicks Vapo Liquid in the room while this is on? Because mine isn’t at all and my old model did and it was very effective.
