A: While the Wahl Trimmer can be used without a guard on your head, it will not give you a razor close cut. Wahl does recommend using our larger full size clippers to cut the hair in your head. They are twice the size and generally come with taper levers allowing you more control of the cut. If you need more information, please contact Wahl at help@wahlclipper.com.

I like the different color guards and that the corresponding length to each color guard is on the clipper handle. The different colors make it so much easier to find the guard that you want to use.

I found three main downsides: 1- The on/off switch is a small lever rather than the classic switch, which makes it unnecessarily difficult to quickly switch on and off. 2- the charging connector is non-standard, so you would need to get a replacement cable if the one included, which is not high quality, were to break. 3- The material used for the plastic heads is not as flexible as the older versions, which leads me to believe they could break more easily.

He's owned several brands of clippers, and Wahl has been one of his favorites. We were excited to get to try these, as a rechargeable set is a real upgrade. These Wahl Cordless Color Pro Lithium Ion Rechargeable Hair Clippers are a solid set of clippers for anyone who cuts their own hair at home. Easy to set up, you just charge the clippers to full with the provided cord. Once fully charged, you can start cutting! It comes with a full set of 10 different color coded comb guides, each have a color that is matched with the size on the clipper. It comes with a comb and scissors, oil and brush for cleaning. It cuts really well, my husband has used it several times now, and I have helped him with the areas on the back of his head he can't reach. It is a smooth cut, easy to swap out comb guides and for the close buzz cut, the blade cuts really well and doesn't pinch. We haven't had to recharge the clippers yet, which is fantastic. Wahl is a trusted brand for all of our needs and it knocked out out of the park this time with this set, for sure.
Good for dabbling at home.

I’m not a professional by any means, but now that I’ve given home haircutting a try, I will continue to trust the professionals. This clipper and guard set was initially exciting for the wide selection of length guards, rechargeable battery and included scissors. The reality was a little less exciting with a cheap and honestly goofy looking clipper housing that was a slick, untextured plastic. The rainbow selection of guards is gimmicky, the scissors cheap and flimsy and this is all contained in a case that does almost nothing to stay organized. Make sure you have an extra USB-A wall adaptor for the charger, as one is not included. If you’re looking to try cutting your hair at home, this kit will work. It cuts hair at roughly the same price as a professional haircut. However, I would treat it as a stepping stone for deciding if it is worth investing in a better set of clippers, scissors and combs.

Of course the packaging is great that you can keep everything in a nice case with the scissors that work wonderfully to trim up your mustache or beard my son is 29 years old and obviously constantly getting his hair done he used the Clippers and was able to do everything the barbershop does they worked so good he did five of his nephews hair as well especially with the color coded guards works great and has a very long battery life. I recommend every one who uses Clippers by this particular set it's well priced and works as well as if you were in a barbershop
