A: For longer life out of your Water Flosser, don't allow the reservoir to run completely dry when using. When the water pressure begins to decrease as the water level drops (you'll hear a change in sound), turn the unit off. It'll keep the pump from running dry.

A: Question was asked in 2020. In December 2024, the description is still incorrect. I almost didn't buy it because of the incorrect description and wouldn't have known it's actually electric with a cord and plug if I didn't read the Q&A.

A: We put mouthwash in ours often, and always run a bit of water through it after use. No problems so far after over a year!

A: sure can! I use a mix of 50/50 mouthwash and peroxide and fill the contained with a little water. works perfectly.

A: Hello Carol Colorado - A small amount of salt is fine in our counter top models, just not our cordless units. Be sure to run clean water through after every use. This will ensure that there is no residual salt in the water pathway causing buildup that can reduce performance and shorten the lifespan of the product.
