A: Question was asked in 2020. In December 2024, the description is still incorrect. I almost didn't buy it because of the incorrect description and wouldn't have known it's actually electric with a cord and plug if I didn't read the Q&A.

A: sure can! I use a mix of 50/50 mouthwash and peroxide and fill the contained with a little water. works perfectly.

A: We put mouthwash in ours often, and always run a bit of water through it after use. No problems so far after over a year!

This will ensure that there is no residual salt in the water pathway causing buildup that can reduce performance and shorten the lifespan of the product.
