Q: I used this less than 10 times. Handle leaks water from everywhere. Can I fix this?

submitted by Val - 1 year ago
  • A: Yes, by purchasing a different brand. If you look at reviews for the previous model you will see it also had leak problems. They've been making these for DECADES but are still selling leaky models!!!

submitted byTarget Customer - 8 months ago
  • A: Hello Vic001 - We're sorry the handle is leaking. We are here to help but need more details. Please email smreviews@waterpik.com or give us a call at (800) 525-2774 for assistance. Thank you.

  • A: The $59 one sucks. Mine lasted 6 months. It leaked, the top fell off often and then the handle became infested with black mold.

submitted byS - 2 years ago

Q: Does this have a plug. It says it does, but the plug is not shown.

submitted by M - 2 years ago
  • A: Hello M- The Evolution is an electric unit. Though not shown in the picture, there is a cord that comes with the unit and does need to be plugged in while using it. If you have any further questions, please let us know! You can email us at smreviews@waterpik.com or call 1-800-525-2774. We would be happy to help.

Love my Water Pik

My Waterpik is the best addition to my dental hygiene. I began using one in the mid-90s when I needed braces to help straighten my teeth for my TMJ issues. It helped keep them clean & not get what is referred to as "train tracks " on my teeth from not properly taking care of your braces. Plus I remember having friends who had braces in our younger days that had yuck stuck in them and that wasn't going to be me. Addressing the people stating that the unit is loud. This is a PUMP ... it isn't going to be quiet. It needs to force water out at a high rate to clean your teeth. It's a little pressure washer for your teeth. The hose is stiff because it's new... use the thing - it will get better. Lastly the hose is plenty long enough I'm tall, you are not supposed to look in the mirror doing this. You are to place the wand in your mouth and work your way around your mouth over your sink. You can't see plaque?!? These complaints are all just basically because you all have never used a water pik and are uncomfortable. Relax and remember this is to make your life better. This is a great product to add to your dental hygiene. I'm currently looking to add another one to my home.

This only lasted me a year and a half

It started to leak water through the handle after a year and a half. I thought because it was the name brand it would last me longer but it didn't, I should've just gotten a cheaper imitation.

Perfect

I was looking for a Water Pik that had a more compact water tank than the models from the old days. I saw this one at Target (didn't see it elsewhere). It's great. The pulsing is completely adjustable, and the tank is big enough to not run dry, but isn't too big. It takes up way less space on my bathroom counter. FYI I tried one of those hand held all in one flossers and it was awkward to hold, and the tank ran dry quickly. So this is the flosser of my dreams.

I am happy with the operation of my water pick but I am a little concerned with the lid. It collapses fairly easy and takes a little effort to reinstall correctly.

Leaked from the beginning

The unit leaked from where the hose connects to the "handset", even before I plugged into electrical power.

Hello - We're sorry your WF-07 unit is leaking. Try replacing the jet tip with a new one. If that doesn't work, try a different jet tip. If the problem continues, please call us at 1-800-525-2774 or email smreviews@waterpik.com. Thank you!

Cute

This is my first time getting a Water pik that has a cord and has a large water basin. It's really cute. Works well. My only complaint is how loud it is. I love in an apartment and I swear sometimes I worry someone will be able to hear it ha.

Love the size

I love the size. It fit perfectly in my small bathroom. Works great in the beginning. After a year of everyday use, the spring holding the pick is a bit loose. It pops up when I start to floss my teeth. It might be time for replacement.

Getting another Water Pik!

Sorry to say that my 5-6 year old Water Pik just died. So, I am on your website to get another one! I love the Water Pik and it does such a good job with my gums and teeth! I hate to be without my Water Pik for even a day, but it will be nice to get a brand new one!

Loud, bad ergonomics, but effective.

(Review after 5 months of use) Not quiet. My partner’s Waterpik Sonic Fusion (toothbrush/water flosser combo) is way quieter. I’m actually concerned I’ll wake people up downstairs when I brush my teeth late. But I do like the larger reservoir, even though it’s annoyingly resistant to snapping in place. The valve switch on the handle is poorly placed and difficult to reach, plus it’s easy to mistake with the similarly shaped tip releaser when you’re fumbling one-handed and not looking. The power switch on the side is a stupid place to put it. It makes turning it on and off into a two-handed operation, supporting the opposite side so you don’t push the whole thing off the countertop. Just dumb. Overall ergonomic design: 4 out of 10. The lower level model is surely a better value, and if I were to replace this one, I’d buy the lower level model. This is my first time using a device like this. I’d say if brushing gets your teeth 85% clean, and adding flossing gets them up to 95% clean, adding a water flosser brings that up to about 98% clean. A small gain, usually, but if it’s the same unreachable pocket that brushing and flossing can’t clean, this could definitely help. I recommend this only because I’m not aware of anything else that does this job. Lots of room for design improvement, Waterpik!

SO loud!

It cleans fine, though the magnet doesn't like to hold the end very well. The thing is that it's so loud that I never want to use it. I wish I'd seen something about the sound in a review before I bought it so I wanted to leave this. It's an expensive piece of equipment not to use, but I can rarely bring myself to listen to it.

Hello XaWelch - Thank you for your feedback. We're sorry you are not completely satisfied with the model. Our products are designed for use in the bathroom and to have sound levels appropriate for the space. Specifically, we design our products to have a sound level of less than 70 dBA, where less than 70 dBA is defined as ‘conversation level’. Beyond 70 dBA we hear a toilet flush and at approaching 90 dBA we are in the range of most hair dryers.

Dead on arrival

Out of the box, ran for about two seconds before sputtering off. It briefly ran a couple more times, then never turned back on. The outlet works fine. Since the power switch is now a momentary push button, it’s impossible to even tell if the unit thinks it’s supposed to be on or not. The push button adds nothing over a physical power switch and adds another point of failure.
