The unit worked ok for about 4 months then it started leaking where the powercord enters the unit. Unit not icing up, filter clean, bucket installed correctly and not full, on level ground. Couldn't find any reaso for the leak.

Recieved my dehumiifier about a month ago. I like the smaller size and easy setup. I have read good reviews of the Waykar brand, and so far it is working great.

This Waykar dehumidifier is excellent! It's quiet and efficient. It was easy to set up and runs very smoothly. Great product. I'd recommend this dehumidifier for your household needs.

First dehumidifier lasted 4 months Giving 5 star for customer service aand a replacement unit

I have an 864 square foot basement and this unit will not reduce the humidity lower than 55% even though it is set much lower. I've been in contact with Waykar customer support multiple times to determine what could be wrong but it is correctly placed in an open setting, nothing is blocking the humidity sensor and the drain hose is connected so it is not shutting off when the water in the tank reaches capacity because this does not occur when the drain hose is connected. I wonder if it is defective or if the unit cannot achieve a lower humidity. I have a sump pump in my basement and it has cement walls and concrete floors.

I purchased my Waykar Dehumidifier in June 2025 and it worked great up until September 2025 until we got an error code E3. I contacted Customer Service and they were really good about helping me get it returned for a replacement.

I’ve been using this dehumidifier for about two weeks, and I’m honestly impressed. My basement always smelled musty. After running this for just a day, the air felt noticeably fresher, and the humidity dropped by nearly 20%. It’s pretty quiet—I can still watch TV or sleep without being disturbed. The tank does fill up quickly, but I hooked up the continuous drain hose, and now I barely think about it. Overall, it makes the space so much more comfortable. If you’re tired of damp, sticky air, this is worth every penny.

During the summer humid months in NY, the house was very humid and uncomfortable with moisture forming around the refrigerator doors in the kitchen. With this small dehumidifier, the room is much more dry and comfortable even without the AC (we have AC but don't use it much as we prefer the fresh outside air). The moisture no longer forms around the refrigerator. The Waykar dehumidifier pulls the moisture very effectively and the device is very quiet, especially compared to another dehumidifier (different brand) that we have in the basement. The water bucket is a bit small but it also makes it very easy to empty the bucket. I very much recommend this especially in a living area due to the quietness and effectiveness of pulling moisture, making the room comfortable.

Waykar produces a very energy efficient dehumidifier that operated extremely quietly. I currently have two units and have been very pleased with their performance. I have the units connected to a drain so they can cycle on and off as required to maintain the proper humidity in two areas of our basement. I have not found a competing unit that performs as well with little or no servicee.

We loved this little workhorse, but unfortunately it broke after about 4 months. Waykar is *very* responsive, however, and was quick to help diagnose, and then offer a replacement, as it was under warranty still.

The unit leaked Freon after a few months. Waykar warranty claim played games for a month and never intended to honor the warranty despite confirming the item was defective. Terrible company, buyer beware!

The humidifier did a great job keeping humidity at bay in our basement over the last 9 months. It was quiet and effective and overall did the job! Customer service is working with us on getting a replacement to us now.

Customer service quick to respond

I first tried a Midea unit, but it was weak and loud. Plus its hygrometer was inaccurate and the automatic mode didn’t work well. I replaced it with this Waykar, and it was a big improvement—markedly quieter (definitely under the advertised 50 dB on low fan), while being far more powerful and the automatic mode worked great keeping my ~900 sq ft finished basement comfortable without any hassle. The one downside has been that the coils started freezing and the unit stopped working properly after about 2–3 months. The good news is that customer service has been easy to reach. They’ve promised to send me a replacement, so I’m hopeful the next one will last a while.

This item is junk!! Stopped holding its humidity level not even 3 months after I bought it. Then it gave an error code that it was leaking coolant. I called the company since they offered a 1 yr warranty. They went back and forth and were supposed to “be in touch with me” but even after calling no one was “in touch”. Wykar won’t stand behind their crappy product and will do anything to get out of sending another replacement if something happens!!

Great post sale service

Waykar’s warranty is much better than other brands. Waykar’s website discusses how the design for their compressor, heat exchanger and pump is better than other brands. My Waykar humidifier was easy to set up and I was very impressed with how well it worked. Unfortunately, after about 8 weeks of use it quit working. I contacted Waykar Customer Service and they were very helpful. They requested an explanation by text of what had happened and a video so they could hear how it was operating. After reviewing the situation, they offered to ship a replacement dehumidifier to me. Thank you Waykar!
