I own the smaller model and love that it comes with a paper guide (near the blade gutter) for narrow scrap cuts. The 12" trimmer makes handling bigger sheets a breeze. The half-inch grid is perfect for my use, although if you're wanting finer measurements, this might not be for you.

The ruler cover flips up to slide your paper under it and also to hold it in place. It has two slider blades that easily cut through your paper to trim it. I have used it on different thicknesses of paper, cardstock and photos and it sliced through them easily.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This works great as a paper cutter. Missing a perforator, just cuts. Like how it has angles on the guide. Would not use the 2 blades very frequently. Sits nice on countertop and the pads on the bottom keeps it stable, does not slip when cutting.

It has several lines which helps when trying to get your paper lined up. The trimmer will cut regular paper as well as card stock. You have to be careful that you don't try to cut too many papers at one time. I have cut several different types of paper and they have all came out neat and straight. The maximum size of paper that will fit in the trimmer is 12". There also angles that you can cut, but I have not yet thought of a reason why I would need to do that. On the ruler you can use inches or cm which is nice. However, for some reason I have a really hard time seeing through the blue ruler.

It has 4 nonskid feet to keep it where I place it. The two cutting blades slide freely along a track on a transparent blue ruler that easily swings open and closed. They have comfortable dimples springs that you hold down with your finger to engage the blades with the paper. Each one has high-contrast white marks ON EACH SIDE to make it easy to see where the cut will be made. Additionally, there are high-contrast lines along the cutting channel. The base is a matte black, and all of the markings and grids are matte white. It’s quite easy to read. Additionally, there are embossed (raised) width markings at either end of the tool. Cuts are smooth and snag-free.

It supposedly cut up to 10 sheets of 20 lbs paper. I don’t know if it’s true, but I don’t want to risk testing it out and dull out the blade.

It works best to use one sheet at a time when cutting. This cutter has done a great job of keeping my paper cut neatly and precisely.
