Kept breaking the tips of colored pencils. Decided to keep trying. Did great with regular pencils then after a few uses the bottom part broke off, with all that gummy red stuff shown in photos by another reviewer. I accused my 4 year old of shoving chapstick in it and breaking it 😭 anywho, it’s broken, and it wasn’t cause my daughter shoved chapstick in it, it’s cause it’s a piece of junk

tried using this sharpener and it blew up, the bottom of the sharpener had the gears and it literally exploded everywhere, even hitting my eye. I couldn’t even sharpen one pencil??? would not recommend at all.

I accidentally bought all unsharpened pencils for back to school this year. Simply was rushing and not reading thoroughly. This pencil sharpener was perfect! Able to sharpen like 12 pencils in one minute. It does take 4 AA batteries. So just get those when you get this lol. Great buy.

We were very disappointed by this product because it broke right when we set it up and it was very cheap plastic and my grandmother paid 9.99 to have it delivered to us today and one couldn’t even be used because of how junky it was and the other wouldn’t even close. We vote this item 0 stars

If I could give it 0, I would. It broke within a few uses. The battery cover would not go back on once you put batteries in, and then the cover on the gears part popped off after using it 3 times.

I didn’t even make it though the 4 pencils sharpened. The bottom plastic of this sharpener houses the motor.. and I guess spinning was too strong that it popped the base out of place. The plastic bottom isn’t secure with screws.. it just slides on. Needless to say, I can’t sharpen the pencils. Money thrown in the trash

Should’ve taken this back when I saw that the battery door didn’t slide completely into place. Instead he used it for about 2 weeks and it fell apart leaving the internal pieces along with whatever grease inside the mechanism smeared all over the inside of his backpack.

These are absolutely useless. Battery compartment cover cannot be closed after batteries are installed. Cover ended up slicing the bottoms of the batteries in my attempt to close it. I purchased two of these, one for each of my children and they both are impossible to use. What a waste of money

I should have read reviews before buying it! It's impossible to get the battery cover closed with the batteries inside. Just a terrible design. Can't even rate how well it sharpens!

Great sharpener. Battery doesn’t die fast. It isn’t silent but it’s not obnoxiously noisy. Material is made to last. Very portable! You can take it everywhere. Only thing is that you do have to press down a little hard.
