Yellow Corn Meal - 16oz - Good & Gather™

I used to buy this cornmeal and made cornbread with it all the time, for some reason this new batch is extremely bitter and ruined multiple batches of cornbread I tried to make! The recipe I’ve made a dozen times was suddenly ruined and the only thing I changed was the brand of cornmeal I used. Do better with your quality control target.

There were bugs inside of the bag!!!!!

It's bitter with no taste. I normally use marthia white and I will never cheat on her again.

I usually buy another brand, but it was sold out at my store. This baked up well when I followed the recipe; I even added a honey butter glaze on top after. The bread was so bitter, it was inedible. I also didn't appreciate that the bag has enough for two batches, but not three. I feel like it should contain an even amount of servings, right? Such a waste of ingredients to make this! AVOID!

Why plastic packaging when other brands were perfectly fine with cardboard containers. Bring back branded for options otherwise another item that goes on my other store list.

This cornmeal was just what I needed to make more homemade corn bread! It comes with a resealable bag, which is nice!

I love Good and Gather products!! I use them all the time; however, this was my first time using the yellow corn meal. I really liked how it comes in a resealable bag; and the recipe for corn bread is delicious!! I highly recommend this product!!

Nice taste and worked well in recipes. But I needed more than this little bag.

I have used it in multiple recipes that I have made multiple time and since trying this brand of corn meal they have come out bitter.

This cornmeal has a great consistency and worked great for my homemade cornbread recipe. There were no clumps. I like that the bag is resealable since there was a little left after my recipe, other packages from other brands don’t seal which seems kind of unsanitary.

Great basic corn meal! I found the grind to be fine and when I tried the recipe on the back, it created a cake like corn bread. It tasted good and does everything I would hope corn meal would do. The color is a pale yellow.

This corn meal wormed great for making homemade corn dogs. Delicious tasting and easily able to be used. My son has severe allergies as well and this seemed to be okay for him so allergy parents should check to be sure but we had a great experience.

I made a corn bread using this “Yellow Corn Meal” with the recipe written on the back of the bag. It turned out great! It has nice corn flavor to it and is very moisture inside and crispy outside! The recipe was simple enough to make an 8x8 sized corn bread Sunday morning and I could make the corn bread 3-4 times from one bag of corn meal.

This cornmeal when used makes very tasty cornbread. It also makes for a great coating for fried squash. The texture is nice and I love that it included a recipe on the back of the back making it easier for people who aren't experts. I will be using this again.

Good & Gather yellow corn meal is a 16 ounce package. I made a southern-style corn bread with the corn meal. The corn meal was a nice yellow color and it mixed up well with my other ingredients. I needed 2 cups of corn meal for my recipe along with 1 ½ cups flour, 2 teaspoons salt, 2 teaspoons baking powder, 1 teaspoons baking soda, 2 tablespoons sugar, 3 eggs, 2 cups milk and ¼ cup butter. I made it in my cast iron pan. I added 1 tablespoon of canola oil into my cast iron pan and put the pan with the oil in my 425 degree oven while it was preheating. Once it was pre-heated, (you have to be very careful taking the hot pan out of the oven) I took the pan out of the oven and coated all of the inside of the pan with the oil. Pour your mixed batter into the hot pan and bake 25 to 30 minutes or until your corn bread is browned and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. My family really liked the taste and texture of the corn bread. We sliced up the corn bread and served it with butter. I would definitely use Good & Gather yellow corn meal again.

Yellow corn meal from targets good and gather was just what I needed. There are so many other brands to choose from, but this one is good so I likely will buy it in the future. Package size is decent as well.

I was excited to try good and gather yellow cornmeal. Yellow cornmeal is a great source of protein. We made cornbread with our chili, and this yellow cornmeal tasted amazing. We will continue using it to make a variety of items.
