It makes a perfect family-time game. Yoshi and the Mysterious Book completely reinvents the classic platformer formula by focusing on exploration and pure curiosity rather than just rushing to a traditional finish line. The entire premise of jumping inside a living encyclopedia named Mr. E to discover, study, and name unique, quirky creatures is incredibly rewarding and fresh. Every single chapter feels like its own distinct, vibrant biosphere, and experimenting with how the fauna interacts—like feeding an apple to a bubble-spouting creature to ride a massive bubble up to hidden collectibles—makes solving puzzles a constant joy. On top of the brilliant gameplay, the visuals are breathtaking; the game leverages its engine to create a stunning, stylized stop-motion aesthetic that looks like a beautiful animated film come to life. It is packed to the brim with secrets, entirely stress-free since you can't traditionally "die," and an absolute delight for cozy gamers and families alike. Five stars all the way!

Worse Yoshi Game Ever. The Bouncing Bug Levels ruin everything. Don't buy this game it is a waste of your time.

This is a fun game with never ending secrets. Could spend a long time finding traits to each creature. It is very relaxing and, is the best Yoshi game that I have. note: You can get the game for $10 cheaper if you purchase through the Nintendo E Shop.
