Description
ZWILLING Pro is the most user-friendly knife available to market. The unique blade shape and ergonomic bolster are the result of years of experience in knife making, and the rigorous study of how knives are used. A unique curved bolster supports the professional pinch grip, with thumb and index finger on the blade, for safe cutting and less fatigue. The blade was redesigned with a broader curve in the front to facilitate the rocking motion of Western cutting, while the straight back is ideal for the Asian chopping motion. The full length of the blade can be used when cutting and can be sharpened from bolster to tip Designed in Italy by Matteo Thun and made in Germany by ZWILLING J.A. Henckels, the company that sets the standard for exceptional cutlery worldwide. The ZWILLING Pro Santoku Knife is a Japanese style chef's knife that is perfect for most kitchen tasks. Perfection

I love this santoku! A must have in every kitchen. Sharp, easy to handle, and versatile. The hollow edge makes it so easy to cut into cucumber and release them from the knife. A BIFL!

Good size and well ballanced
I really enjoy using this knife as it is very well. Balanced and the small size of 5.5 makes it ideal for cutting things like chicken, small steaks and even some vegetables. The little rivets on the side make the knife not stick to the meat. Which makes things very convenient.

Extremely nice looking and quality finish.
Like other Zwilling knives that I have purchased. It comes with a great edge. The blade is tough enough for every day use but will not be too difficult to sharpen. Absolutely fantastic looking both blade/handle finish and materials. I do feel the handle is a bit heavy and makes this a little bit unbalanced. That said for the type of chopping you do with a 5.5inch knife. Its really not an issue in actual use. Only noticeable when you first pick it up. In the end, this is not my favorite knife in this line. However still an excellent product. I keep my knives in a drawer but if you display yours. This does look much more expensive than it is.

Santoku Knife is a Win!
This knife is perfect for chopping and preparing veggies and I also use it for meat. I bought an extra one for my son, who's studying culinary arts and his last name is "Zwilling" so we've always loved these products. High quality products. I watch for the sales!

The perfect medium sized multi-purpose knife
My family uses our Zwilling Pro S 5.5" Hollow Edge Santoku Knife multiple times a day and have been doing so for at least 10 years. It is by far the knife of choice for my wife and also my mother-in-law when mincing, chopping or slicing as it is the perfect size for their hands. When I saw the Zwilling Pro 5.5" version on sale I immediately jumped on it, ordering two for my sons for their eventual use when they establish their own households.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have small hands and the regular Santok knife is too hefty to handle. I also have carpel tunnel due to excessive typing. I own a Zwilling regular knife but I never used it because of the problems indicated above. I bought this a while ago and finally, I tested it out for cooking for the lunar new Year. OMG. Fantastic. I used this knife for everything, from fish, to meat to winter melon. It cuts so beautifully like figure skating. Now I really enjoy cooking again with this new tool.

Great daily knife
