Terrible design on the base of this item. There are only three points of contact and it makes it impossible for a stable load.

Crock pot just arrived. Unboxed it and just boxed it back up for a return. Crock insert does not seat correctly in the warmer. Warmer only has 3 legs and makes it very tippy on all sides. Poor design, poor quality. Find something other than this model.

I purchased this crockpot in Target in person in December. When you have it set on "low" the food boils. When you have it set on "warm" the temperature is 137 degrees. the FDA states that keeping food warm should be 140 degrees or higher to be safe.

Broke after only second use

I had the exact same experience as previous reviewer Jengraham. I received the 7 quart oval model as a wedding gift 3.5 years ago. I finally got to unpack all my gifts and open the Crockpot for the first time last month. Mine worked fine on low for 6 hours the first time, but during the second use on low for 8 hours my oval insert developed several microscopic cracks and leaked into the metal heating base. I smelled burning, had a mess burned onto the inside of the metal base and it had leaked all over my countertop and everything that was on the counter. I am so disappointed. I just took it out of the box, used it twice and handled it with extreme care. I contacted Crockpot to ask how to clean the unit and what to do about the leak. They said it was out of warranty and offered a small percentage off the purchase of another Crockpot.

I bought this in December. Tried to make chuck roast twice a both times turned out very tough after 6 hours on high. Tried to use again last week to bring chili to (already cooked on stove) an event. It was on high for 4 hours and never warmed the chili. Not sure if I have a defective one. Never had any issues with previous crockpots.

My old crockpot broke so purchased this one on sale, picked up curbside and used the same day. Works great! No issues, my only complaint is that the glass lid feels a little on the thinner side so I don’t plan putting in dishwasher. I also recommend reading the manual to prevent some issues others have had in previous reviews.

Giant gap between base and pot?

I loved my old crock pot for over a decade so bought this replacement. However, the pot does not fit snug onto the base, creating almost a one inch gap. Is this normal?? My old crock pot fit like a glove. Definitely returning.

Cooks ok. Takes a while to get it hot. I started filling it with hot tap water first then after I've got all my ingredients prepped, I pour out water, dry with paper towels and start. Also, all of the settings wore off. I ask my daughter every time. I'm old. I forget.

Leaves ring around inside of pot

I love it but after just first use of making pea soup, despite a very thorough clean there is a residual ring left on ceramic pot that does not come off. I just replaced this crockpot after my previous one cracked and had same experience with leaving a ring inside pot. It doesn’t affect cooking or taste but do wonder why this happens?

Purchased this 7 quart manual crockpot and was so surprised that the heavy oval crockpot has only three short feet on the underside of this unit. The photos of this crockpot is deceiving because it shows two short feet on the front side but the back has only one! The unit is quite heavy when empty and the unit wobbled from upper left and upper right when empty, can you imagine what will happen when you add 7 quarts of ingredients that will be very hot with liquid and this crockpot wobbles and spills out on your counter? This construction flaw is extremely dangerous for anyone that will be using this crockpot during stirring and serving at your table. Be very careful, cautious and think twice about purchasing this very unsteady crockpot. I’m returning mine because it’s NOT SAFE! I’ve had numerous Crockpots but this one has very poor safety issues. Beware before you buy this one.

I have this same model the 7qt Crockpot and I loved it. But somehow the insert cracked/broke in half. Now I'm not 100 percent sure what had happened the kids say they don't know. But I'm just wanting an insert because it's not even a year old.

Would give zero stars if I were able to. I don’t know if the unit is faulty or if it’s just terribly made. Listen, my expectations were not sky high, it’s $25. I bought it as an extra thing to cook in on Christmas Day as a “just in case”. There’s literally no bells or whistles, not even a light to indicate that it’s on, that’s fine (annoying but fine) what isn’t fine is the only way you can tell if it’s heating up is to touch it. Except that this thing is scalding hot. I mean, SCALDING. I have a burn scar from it. I have no idea how it passed any sort of safety testing because it’s genuinely unsafe.

Received my Crock-Pot today. My first impression is one of disappointment and the reason for this review. Yes, only three base legs with a tendency to rock on flat surface. Has gaps around the top edge of ceramic crock, does not fit snuggly into base unit. There is movement side to side and front to back between ceramic crock and the base unit. My old Crock-Pot finally gave out after ten years. Guess they just don't make them like they used to!

Bought this crock pot for a Christmas gift. Couldn't bring myself to give it, though. It's really a piece of junk. Only THREE feet?! Wobbles like crazy. The wall of the base is SO flimsy, that one wrong glance and you'll dent it. We have the same model from a few years ago and boy, what a difference - quality and craftsmanship was in stock when we got ours. This one......nope, they clearly are all out of those things - as well as pride in their product. DON'T waste your money!!
