I brushed out my 2b-3b waves/curls (fine, thin hair) for years. The last few months i started to figure it out again. I wanted products that don't have alcohol. After a ton of research and a few flops, I tried this. I want to cry I'm so happy. The price is right. I used one pump worth through my lengths while in the shower and my hair was soaking wet. Also a teeny tiny amount of the NYM gel. This mousse gives me volume, my curls are slightly held, but my hair is soft and bouncy (as promised). I'm now a NYM Curl Talk believer.

It smells like someone’s spit after they have chewed Big Red cinnamon gum. Smells kind of like someone’s sneeze. Honestly smells gross I expected better. The hold is ok, it’s more on the sticky side and results in crunchier curls that are a little more difficult to break the cast on. I won’t be buying this again but I suppose in a pinch it does an ok job

it was okay; nothing to write home about, not awful. it gave me good hold, but was super sticky and kind of a mess. i feel like it helped with definition a little, but the texture was not it. also my bottle broke super easily :(

The first time I used it, I used too much and was left with weighed down hair that had a sticky and stiff feeling to it. I experimented with the amount of product needed and found the right amount to provide the best results for my hair. When I use this mousse, I have noticably less frizz and more defined waves. No matter how much product I use, there is still a sticky/stiff feeling to my hair once it's fully dried but it's not terrible. I will say I am not a fan of the scent. Overall, it has done a good job at helping my wavy hair become more manageable.

It's very dense so you don't need to use much at all time, and it adds some texture and hold without making the hair feel crunchy or sticky. I wouldn't go for this product if you want something with especially strong hold, but if a little extra support for lightweight curls is what you're looking for, this has been a nice option! It's also not overly scented and is easy to wash out.

It’s super lightweight, gives great definition without that crunchy or sticky texture, and keeps frizz under control. My curls stay soft, bouncy, and natural-looking. The scent is light and fresh, nothing too strong. A little product goes a long way, and it works really well on both wash days and for refreshing curls in between. Definitely one of my go-to styling products for curls.

The scent is light and pleasant—not overpowering—and gives a fresh feel when applying. It holds my hair in place nicely without needing tons of product, which is a plus. One downside is the slightly crunchy texture it can leave behind once it dries. It’s not overly stiff, but it’s noticeable, especially if you’re aiming for a softer finish. That said, it still manages to tame flyaways and keep the style locked in for hours, so I’m willing to work with it.
