I bought the Fellow Ode Gen 2 a few weeks ago and love it. The hopper is large enough to grind enough coffee beans for a batch of coffee on my Aiden brewer. The grinder is not very loud, and it grinds beans quickly.

I just received it the other day, but used it a few times now and I’m pretty happy with the results. The Opus is definitely a step up from the Bodum I’ve had for the last few years. I don’t care for espresso, pour over is my preferred method so I’ve been able to dial the grind in well. It has a good consistent grind with little to no retention or static, which makes for a nice user experience. It’s easy to clean and I appreciate the magnetic centering of the cup. So far, my only niggle is that I think the finish of the base may scratch up because the cup is a tolerances fit. Hasn’t happened yet, but I think it will. Not a big deal, but worth mentioning. It’s four times the cost of my previous grinder, but I see the value and benefit in a few uses. My two subjective cents.

I was gifted this grinder and LOVED it at first. Then it started to spit out a significant amount of coffee ground residue and made a huge mess with every single use. I tried to clean it (following instruction and did it frequently) but that didn’t fix the problem. Customer care took a long time to get back to me which I understand with increasing need but took awhile for me to get a replacement. Finally got it replaced then this new one, into just 2-3 weeks of use, is spitting out crazy amount of grounded coffee beans already! It’s hard to say I’d strongly recommend this as I clean my counter each morning….

Grinds coffee well enough but very frustrated by the mess it makes. Always have to hit the grinder to get all the grounds out even for coarser grinds. On top of that, grinds always land outside the collector and I end up vacuuming the area daily. I’ve considered reaching out to the company for a refund. It’s honestly more frustrating than a grinder ought to be.

Been using the Opus conical burr grinder for about a month and was very happy with the consistent grind. But then it stopped grinding, and I found that it's been retaining ground beans which have been building up and finally completely clogged the machine. When I cleaned out the clog, I found at least 25 grams of grounds had been stuck in the machine, which means that all of my notes about grams/cup are off.

After just three months, my Fellow grinder is practically useless. Coffee gets trapped inside and barely anything comes out without aggressive knocking and shaking. Despite multiple thorough cleanings, the issue persists. This seems like a fundamental design flaw. Save your money and frustration - I cannot recommend this product to anyone.

I can’t believe I’ve gone this long without freshly ground coffee! What a game changer in the morning. This grinder is easy to use, and pretty quiet. I appreciate how convenient it is to take apart and clean. It’s sleek, blends in well in my kitchen, and doesn’t take up a lot of counter space. We actually look forward to using it every morning. The Opus has been fantastic, great grind on the beans, the magnet catch cup is really nifty. It's also quiet! Really nice when you dont want to wake up the house. If I would nitpick, the Opus does retain a bit of coffee when grinding. A quick tap or two on the sides fixes it easily though. Great grinder overall. Especially at this price and the 15% discount if youre buying with the Aiden is a nice bonus.

I very much dislike this grinder. I was upgrading from a blade and using the new opus I noticed that after my second or third grind the coffee started tasting bad. Tried to clear the retains but there was so much retained coffee that I couldn't clean it and I just developed bitter tasting terrible coffee. I switched it back to the blade grinder and the coffee was delicious again. I don't understand why this grinder gets good reviews but my experience with it is bad. if you search for negative reviews you'll find they say the same thing that I found out the hard way.
