Annie Selke - Dash & Albert Ojai Wheat Hand Loom Knotted Cotton Rug, 5x8, Wheat

I have had this rug in the sitting room off my kitchen for 4-5 years. I would say almost as soon as I got it, fibers started to come loose - particularly on the edges. I loved the look of the rug but it definitely doesn't hold up well.

I agree with the other reviewer that this is a beautiful rug for about 10 minutes. It quickly showed stains in a low-traffic area.

I am very unhappy with this rug. Over the years, I have purchased many Annie Selke/Dash & Albert rugs and have really loved them all. The quality and durability are usually great. We've only had it a couple of months and This rug has been so impractical. I put it in our entry-way and it looks terrible. It shows dirt so easily and is impossible to spot clean. Unlike other D&A cotton rugs, you cannot wash this rug in the washer. It is very stiff and must be dry cleaned - and I'm not sure that would even get it clean. Also, the wheat color does not show the color gradations that appear online. The comments should really say that this rug is not meant for a high-traffic area. It is just my husband and me and our golden retriever puppy, and it does seem that the rug should be able to withstand this level of normal traffic and wear and tear. I am very disappointed and will soon have to replace it, even though I just bought it and paid a good deal for the rug.
