Q: Doees the overall size of this rug include the tassels?

  • A: Hello Diana, The fringe is not included in the specs, and is usually 1 1/2" to 2". It's tied directly to the foundation so it's not recommended to cut since it can begin to unravel the rug completely over time. We suggest rolling it under and taping it to the backside if not favored. Note, any modification to the rug voids the limited manufacturer's warranty.

Great rug, great deal!

I only recently discovered Rugs.com but have now bought two amazing, all-wool area rugs for my new home (this one and a huge 10 x 13 other one), for what feels like an incredible price. This rug is a beautiful addition to my bedroom (pairs well with a queen bed in more muted tones). Its definitely a little sheddy initially (like all 100% wool rugs go), but only a few weeks in and a few vacuums later, it's stabilized on that front now. The texture is cool, with fluffy rows pairing with flat-weave. Thankfully, my bedframe sat naturally in the flat-weave sections, but if that had been a mis-match I might have had to return it. Just something to be aware of!
