5 Stars - Grateful the colors were not bright, but muted--perfect!
This rug is a true global piece—Italian wool, hand-knotted by artisans in India, with a Turkish-inspired design. The all-over botanical motif is particularly successful here; without a rigid central medallion, it allows for flexible furniture placement—perfect for my curved coffee table. I was initially hesitant, as online photography can distort color and value. Would it be too bright? I needed a very specific balance: muted, low-contrast tones that would layer over a 9×13 looped ivory rug without reading too bright or too muddy. Be mindful of the jump in scale. While a 6x9 would be the 'Goldilocks' size for many living rooms and for my space, no seller had this size. I made the 5x8 work for me. The arrival was my first clue to the quality: it was meticulously double-wrapped and secured with muslin ties—a level of care usually reserved for high-end showrooms to let the natural fibers breathe and prevent 'telescoping.' In person, the color was exactly right. The palette is soft and subdued, achieving the “watercolor” effect I was looking for. It sits comfortably in a lower value range without becoming dull or flat. Construction quality is strong. The knotting (KSPI) is consistent (confirmed on the reverse), and the rug has the slight irregularity typical of hand-knotting—one end curves slightly, which can be adjusted. Packaging was notably careful, wrapped in muslin and double-covered. The Sardinian wool is a standout. It has a natural, subtle sheen that adds depth without the artificial shine seen in synthetics. It does not outgas, resists crushing, and is appropriate for long-term, higher-traffic use. So soft. Fringe color was also well judged—no need for tea staining because it was not too bright or white. It is priced higher than other sellers, but purchasing through Target provides an easier return option. Speedy at shipping! Overall: a well-made, muted, hand-knotted rug with refined materials and finish, suitable for layered interiors where controlled color and texture matter. Ah, thank you, Target!

You sent me the wrong rug!
Target-I ordered this rug and you actually sent me an entirely different rug from the same collection that has a sku # with one digit different. I didn’t like the nubby texture of that rug, so I assume that it carries through on other rugs in the collection. You get a “1” though for wasting my time by sending me a tan rug when I had ordered a blue rug!
