Nice charger
The only reason I am not giving it a solid 5 is because it does not lower the charge amperage enough at times. I am on my second one and not due to failure, I left my first one out in a bad storm expecting it to survive as it had before. It wasn't covered properly so it shorted out which was my fault. That was after 2 years of me leaving it out outside. I replaced it with the same model and still love it. I refused to buy a new charger until this one was back in stock. So far I've been using them since 2015. If you battery is under 11.2v or 11v it will give a bad battery error after hours of charging yet the battery will show that it has charged or it didn't charge it but waited an hour or 2 to tell you. The bad battery errors after the battery has been charging for an extended period is my only problem. Sometimes putting the battery in a vehicle to get a little extra juice before charging if it's too low helps.

the 1.5A maintenance/charger i
The 1.5A is just what I needed for my motorhome batteries, both Start and Deep- cycle to keep them fully charged for the winters in Montana, because they sit for at least 6 months at a time and are ready to go when we are.

One of the best!!!
I have had discharger for about 10 years or more and I've never had a problem with it. I just recently started having a bad battery light on a set of batteries I bought with the charger. I don't know if it's the battery or the unit itself but seems like the unit still work and just fine when I try to with another set of batteries. The charger still works after 10 years that is a big huge Plus and I don't know how long it will last in total age but if you're looking for something that will last you for at least 10 years this is it.

Great for Maintaining Single Batteries
There are great little chargers for maintaining batteries. I have eight vehicles with 12V batteries. Most have a Schumacher SC1355 keeping the battery charged and ready for service. These small, efficient, automatic, affordable chargers have saved me hundreds, maybe thousands of dollars in ruined, sulfated, dead batteries.

I have three of these and they do just what they claim.
