Outstanding charcoal!
My first purchase has become my new favorite. Starts easily in a chimney, burns hot, burns long, almost no ash.Glad I didn't read some of these reviews, or I'd have overlooked some great charcoal. I won't be using anything else in my Big Green Eggs or my smoker.

QC department needs to step up .
Not satisfied at all with the 4 lbs of rocks I found in a 20 lb bag I have never seen this before and I will not buy any products from a company with a QC problem.

Fantastic in an Egg
This is our go to charcoal in our Green Egg. No stinky oily tast, no nasty over smoked flavor. Just excellent burning , clean cooking coals.

Awful
We bought this to use to grill on 4th of July when it was the only product available. Why not try it out? We followed the instructions and could not get this charcoal to stay lit. A man walked by, saw the trouble my husband was having and asked him if he never grilled before. Ouch! After having his pride hurt, someone gave us different charcoal and it started right up. We ditched the rest of the Blue Hog bag near the grills. Maybe someone else will have better luck.

Charcoal dust
I've bought my first bag of the Blue Hog lump charcoal 3-4 years ago and at the time, I thought it was the best I'd used. The last three bags I've purchased, about 1/4 to 1/3 the bag was charcoal dust. I won't purchase the Blue Hog lump charcoal any longer.

Same ole’ problem!
I bought two bags of your charcoal hoping it would be different than others. Specifically, hoping the bag would, for the most part, be USABLE pieces. Unfortunately, it is the same as others. Half of the bag is pieces so small they fall thru the grate and are unusable. This basically doubles the price of the usable charcoal.

Poor
Large rocks and charcoal crumbs. I'm trying to add photos but that's failing too.

Best I've found
OK, I can't claim to have tried every lump 'coal out there but I've tried everything at the local grill go-to. This is by far the best. Even sized, very little dust and crap to foul your air flow and the clean up is almost zero. Maybe 2 cups tops (from an XL Green Egg, fully loaded). I'm astonished how little mess there is to deal with. Temp is easily regulated and there is almost always plenty of coals left over. So much win here...

Not good
It is not possible to charge premium prices for a product that is of poor quality. The charcoal in question is mostly powder, and I even found what appears to be insulation mixed in with it.

Give this a try, you won't be unhappy
Bought a bag and tried it this evening on our Egg. Excellent burning, excellent taste. Far better than anything Egg offers. Doesn't have a nasty smoke aftertaste.

Never again
This stuff is crap! It claims to be all natural lump charcoal. It is not! It's all small pieces and there are flat pieces like old flooring and building materials

Rocks and small pieces!
Noticed how many small pieces were included in the bag. After first grill, 3 rocks appeared. That's a first and also wondering how many more rocks i'll find after finishing 15.4 lb bag.

New King In Town
Flat out the best. My go to for big cooks use to be Royal Oak. The latter is still awesome but this stuff is fantastic. Burn, taste.....just great stuff.

Multiple large rocks and small charcoal
Terrible, small in size and found multiple large rocks in each bag. When you pay by the lb and you find multiple large rocks, strings, and other debris in it production should catch that.

Not Good
Nothing lump about it, pieces were so small and clogged air holes. I just tossed the rest of the bag, what a mess!
