Secret Clinical Strength Antiperspirant Deodorant Smooth Solid, Waterproof Formula, Advanced Sweat Protection, 1.6 Oz

I have used the Soft Solid for years. I put it on at night and no perspiration. It is tricky to turn at first, but I have weak hand and I am OK if I use a towel to turn it. I do agree there is no reason it needs to be so difficult! I can't find anything about the "48 hr" on the front label. Is this new? You can use it for two days without removing it? Need more info.

I love this deodorant. It works better than anything else I've tried. I've been using soft solid clinical for over a year. However, trying to turn the base is incredibly difficult. I have to use towels or rubber bands or get my husband to turn it for me. Does anyone have any tricks on how to make turning easier?

First of all the deodorant is this disgusting lotion consistency that does not allow you to control how much you use and feels wet and disgusting. Second, the turn dial is impossible to turn. Third, it doesn't even work! I still sweat just as much as without it. This is the worst deodorant ever do not buy it.

This review receives a 1/5 because of the difficulty to use. The dial is nearly impossible to turn and will not dispense the deodorant. I love the product and the strength of the deodorant, but I cannot turn the dial to use it! Why is this tube of deodorant not user friendly? This is my second time running into this issue, which is clearly a design error of all deodorants of this model. I cannot purchase this again until the packaging changes.

I'm a registered nurse working through a pandemic and finally found a deodorant that worked for me BUT now I can't find it in stores or it has soothing lavender in it. 2020 has truly been the year from hell, and now I'll smell horrible through the rest of it, thanks Secret

The design of your turning dial has to be revisited. The product is very expensive and I cannot even get the product out. The product also seems to seep oils onto the dial which makes it even worse. I’ve tried towels to turn it...no luck. Please look into this issue since I do like the actual product itself. It doesn’t work anywhere near as long as advertised for me, but works better than most other deodorants.

The last two of these I have bought, the top that feeds the deodorant through has come off on both of them rendering about 70% of the deodorant unusable. This stuff is way too expensive to keep wasting my money on cheap packaging that leaves me unable to use the product! So frustrating!

I think you would be very disappointed in your R&D department and anyone in the approval hierarchy that allowed this product to make it to the shelf. Use this for a week and you will see how poorly designed the dispensing mechanism is as you strain to push the deodorant out. Very difficult! I assumed the first one was a dud. But after the 2nd and 3rd from different locations (shame on me), it became apparent this is just a critical design flaw. All this being said, it’s a great product “chemically” outside the container. If you or your team actually use this for a short period you would easily understand these remarks aren’t all that subjective. In hopes you can calibrate your team or get the right ones in place and hopefully have a “New and Improved” dispenser version out soon... Thanks MG

Product did a great job helping with my dryness and odor concerns, but as several others have mentioned, the built-in turn-dial to dispense the product was beyond difficult to turn. After just a few uses, I accidentally broke the turn-dial, most likely from exerting too much force in trying to get it to turn. Now to dispense the product, I have to use pliers to grab at the inner dial mechanism and turn it that way. I've never had this problem with any other deodorants. Perhaps I just got a defective unit, but I'm reluctant to spend more $ on a replacement to find out. It's ashame, as the actual deodorant itself worked well.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It’s disappointing the you rebranded and discontinued a consumers favorite. Rebranding one word and transitioning a product to a higher price point line might have earned an employee kudos, but you are running the risk of losing customers and I find it to be down right deceptive and greedy. The only reason I purchased Secret was for the smooth solid and from the reviews I see that line was popular with others. The gels are sticky, burn and do not dry fast, solids are cakey and get embedded in clothing and harbors the body orders long after washing. Not all clothing can be washed in hot water!! I have tried the Clinical strength product out of desperation to find the ‘smooth solid’ and in my opinion it did not work better than the Secret Outlast line, as the ‘Clinical’ name would lead you to believe. It also was much more expensive for a much smaller product size. It is not worth the extra money. PS most people do not want to be associated with having body odor or sweat that requires a ‘clinical’ label on their deodorant/ antiperspirant. I hope that other manufacturers figure out the value of the smooth solid and if it is on patent, it expires soon so consumers can get a good product at a reasonable market value. I also must say that I never write reviews but find this marketing scam so egregious I had to write this. Too bad you would have had a customer for life. K

I decided to finally give this ago, i regret it. I love the regular secret deoderant, so i figured this could work even better...nope! You hardly get any first of all, like half the amount as the regular sized ones and you pay almost double. There is nothing clinical about it, as it didnt leave my armpits smelling fresh after putting it on before bed. It obviously works for some folks, but not all (buyer beware).

Disappointed. I find it difficult to turn on the bottom, especially if it gets slippery from the deodorant itself. If I can manage to put it on, it feels like it melts and almost makes me sweat more. I won't be finishing this stick, I need to purchase something else.

Please explain the difference between the new 'free soft solid' and the old 'unscented soft solid'. The new one lists 'fragrance' as its last ingredient and I am looking for your unscented product. Also the box colors and design has changed. Frankly, the new one looks masculine to me and it was another point of confusion as to whether or not it was the right one to buy.

Secret, please bring this product back! This cream is smooth just like the name. I don't sweat through it and there is no odor. I have break through sweat with the gel, the solid is irritating and gives me a rash.The solid does not work for me and is sticky. Please reconsider bringing this product back to your line of products. I see other reviews here asking for the same. The wheel at the bottom is difficult to turn at times but I just use a can opener rubber pad and it works fine. It's worth the trouble! I have used this product for over 15 years.

My wife is cranky because she can no longer find this product. She has been using this soft solid (Completely Clean scent) for at least 15 years and can’t stand the gel or hard solids even in the same scent. Based on reviews there are a lot of others who like this product and are unable to find it anymore. Why discontinue such a popular product? She’ll likely have to switch to a different brand as she can’t find any other Secret that she likes or works for her. Way to kill brand loyalty Proctor & Gamble!

Please bring back the smooth solid! Nothing works as well as that did.

Please bring back the original non clinical version of this product! It is my favorite and now it is so much more expensive than any of your other products. Please bring it back at it’s normal cost!!

I started off applying the deodorant each night when I went to bed as it advised that it is activated by using when you rest. After, about a week I don't need to apply as often. This secret clinical strength soft solid glides on easily, is clear, and leaves you feeling light and fresh. What I noticed is that I no longer have that fear of the unfortunate odor when I have stress sweat. The powder protection helps keep the wetness and odor under control. What I like most is knowing that when I have that inevital stress sweat, I will not have the odor nor the wetness, the deodorant is light feeling and clear, so there's no thickness or clumps, and I am left smelling fresh through the day. I also, appreciate the fact that I didn't have to reapply this during the day like I had to with other deodorants. If suffer from extreme wetness and foul odor from stress sweat I would recommend secret clinical strength. This deodorant is prescription strength with wetness protection. It has 48 hour odor protection, stress sweat protection, all day fresh scent and is dermatologist tested. You should apply this at night to take advantage of your body temperature changes. Overall I loved the scent and it worked well for me.
