Disappointing.
I've been using Bose and Sony ANC products for a while and was expecting similar performance for this price. But the ANC just doesn't work. I can switch it on and off and barely notice the difference. They behave like much cheaper Non-ANC buds. They also don't last all night when charged to 100%. One gives out before the other and all masking is lost so when one fails in a noisy environment I just wake up. The sleep stats are inaccurate and seem to only look at percentage sleep rather than duration. It presents 5 hours as a good night's sleep as long as the percentage of sleep vs no sleep is high. They are comfortable, mostly stay in, and sound quality is OK. Just not much use for sleeping, and overpriced for basic ear buds.

Amazing product. I didn’t realise just how distruptive my husbands snoring was, as I am now getting uninterrupted rest and feel great. Apart from feeling some vibrations from the snorer through the pillow I am no longer being disturbed.

disappointing for what it promised
I was hoping these ear buds would help me sleep in the same room as my partner but I was very wrong. Not only do they not block snoring but they don't even detect it. The anc just drains the battery so it won't even last one night and the app drains my phone battery pretty badly so i need to keep it plugged in. If i wanted to listen. To music before bed, sound quality isn't the greatest. I was a Kickstart backer for this project and these earbuds have been a huge letdown. The sleepscore system is not accurate at all but that's not why I bought the earbuds.

Amazing for a Month
These were absolutely incredible…for one month. While working they effectively blocked out my husband’s snoring and were so comfortable I barely noticed they were in. My sleep was markedly improved for the first month. Then they just stopped working effectively and consistently. Now, the sleep report shows I was awake for hours when I was actually sleeping. I wake up to snoring and they are in but silent. They are charged an connected but the alarm doesn’t go off. They play sleep sounds for an hour while I fall asleep and all other functionality seems to have completely ceased to work. The software is updated and still nothing. It’s incredibly disappointing because they were so life changing for a month. Lots of money to spend for something that can’t perform for more than 30 days and have essentially just become overpriced ear plugs.

A30s fall short
The A30s fall short of their promises. ANC is eh at best. Love my A20s though!!

Pros and cons
First, if I were reviewing the Soundcore support team, it would be 5 stars. They're great. However, I am reviewing the A30S, and as of right now, I can only give three stars. Let's start with the good: Local mode works flawlessly with these. I had the Ozlos previously and returned them after 3 months due to an incredible amount of issues, chiefly, the connectivity. About half the time I went to use my Ozlos at night, they would need to be factory reset and would randomly deplete to 3%. That has never once happened with the A30. They are ready to go in local mode every. single. time. For reference, during the 3 months I had the Ozlos, I encountered this issue at least 10 times. There is also no lost bud ping feature on the Ozlos, Not only is this annoying if you lose them, but it is a safety hazard if you have young kids or pets due to the dangers of ingestion with the battery. The bad: - ANC is not really usable in this state for more than a nap. Due to the way the gravity sensors work, unless you sleep like a statue, you can expect to only get on average about 5.5 hours with ANC on. - The sleep with audio feature is also not in a workable state due to audio inconsistency. My default mode is local, so they automatically start playing local audio when I take them out of the case. However, there does not seem to be any feature that remembers your preferred volume level. Now, having to reset the volume of the local audio would just be a minor inconvenience, except in the case you want to use the sleep with audio feature, not just your one local audio. This is because even after adjusting the volume level before falling asleep, when it detects that you are asleep and switches to the local audio, for some reason, it seems to just pick a random low number and change itself to that volume. I have experimented with this all weekend, and my husband's snoring has woken me up both nights, only to discover my volume level had dropped to 13% one night and 22% the next, despite having been set much higher before I fell asleep. This only happens in sleep with audio mode. - Additionally, the sleep with audio feature does not change to local mode when it changes to the local audio. I don't understand why this is, or why Bluetooth mode activates at all if both the sleep audios are my local audio. In conclusion, if you are choosing between Ozlo and Soundcore, it's Soundcore all the way. The product itself works better, the app is better, and the support team is better. Also, as a side sleeper, I should note that both brands were comfortable. However, if you are choosing between the A20 and A30, I would recommend going with the A20 at this point in time. The additional features that would make the A30 worth it just aren't quite ready yet, and as I understand it, the A20s lets you store more local audio files. In the current state, the A30 only lets you download one file. This does not make any sense to me either, as the sleep with audio feature uses two audios, so why not make it so you can download at least 2 files? Essentially, in their current state, it feels like I overpaid for a bunch of bells and whistles that don't really function that well, so I can only listen to one local audio file. Hopefully, future software updates will fix this.

Great Idea, Horrible execution
My 3rd pair of Soundcores. I defy anyone to try and make sense of the app. Can't navigate, doesn't hold connection, they have to be returned.

Did nor work for me
I bought these through the kickstarter campaign and maybe I got a defective pair. The noise cancellation is a joke. It simply does not work at all. I have a regular set of earplugs (the rubber ones that decrease sound by 25 decibels) that block out more sounds than these. Soundcore customer service keeps promising this will be fixed with future firmware updates, but so far that is not the case. For me these were a total waste of money.

Excellent Form - ANC is Inconsistent
Wonderful to sleep in. Love being able to switch sides and sleep comfortably. ANC goes in and out. It’s pretty distracting and honestly surprised it’s so bad. Wear them for five minutes and you’ll understand. Love the features. Hopefully future updates can iron things out.

Sleep A20 is better
I borrowed my spouse's sleep A20s for a week to see if it would help block snoring and they were fantastic, so I figured I would upgrade to the A30s when I bought my own. I really wish I'd stuck with the A20s. The ANC in the A30 is weird and actually makes the snoring and other deep sounds more audible; it woke me up the first few nights so I stopped using it. The smart snore detection feature seems to be just a gimmick because there is a lot of very loud snoring in my bedroom, but every day it says "your sleep environment is free of snoring!" The most annoying thing is that on at least half of the 8 or so nights I've used them so far, I've woken in the middle of the night (to snoring noises) and the earbuds have simply been off/not working. I've had to put them back in the case to reset, which works, but I can't figure out why this is happening because they are adequately charged. Also, while I think they are similar design to the A20s, I found the A20s more comfortable. Seriously debating exercising the 30-day satisfaction guarantee and exchanging for A20.

One sad fatal flaw
The buds only last 7h of use even with local mode enabled, despite it being advertised as 9h. This means they just cut out and stop working too early, robbing you of an hour or two of proper sleep. If it wasn't for this they would be great.

Have I got something wrong?
Comfy to wear but my partners snoring is still a problem which I was very disappointed about as these promised some relief. I can't tell the difference between the anc being on and off so. Now doubting if it even works. I have the snore masking (the whistling winds or rain ones) on as loud as I can tolerate but the snoring is still there clearly in the background. Literally no difi(other than twice the price) from the A20.

Regretful Purchase
Unfortunately I’ve bought 2 pairs through Kickstarter. The ANC is very poor, although has got slightly better following a firmware update, but still does very little to block snores. The battery life is around 6hrs with ANC on, so doesn’t last the night. Very disappointing for the price point!

So much to love, but the important thing sucks
Theres a lot to love here. They are comfortable, well made and the sound is good. Unfortunately none of that matters when you can't use them for more than 5-6 hours with the advertised features because the battery is so poor- and this is when they are new. These won't even last a few hours within a few. Waste of money.

Good overall
There are a few minor software tweaks in the app that I’d like (that I’m sure are in the works), but overall I like these better than the a20s. They stay in my ears WAY better than the a20s. The ANC is slightly finicky and can take a minute to start cancelling, but it’s not really a big deal for me (I currently sleep alone and just have to deal with daytime people noises and barking dogs). It seems to take several minutes to get to a really noise cancelled setting, but again, not really an issue here. They’re so little too! I have pretty small ears, and like I said, these stay all night. It’s great. I was an indiegogo campaign supporter, and I’ve had these for a few weeks now. I’m about to go to bed with these as I type this, so goodnight, y’all!
