Q: Are these bags recyclable

submitted by Gina - 9 months ago

  • A: Thanks for your interest in our ForceFlex Trash Bags, Gina. Glad Trash Bags are made from polyethylene and do not contain latex or other rubber-based ingredients. Most municipalities lack facilities to recycle these types of plastics, so unless special programs exist, the bags are unlikely to be recycled. We're mindful of our environmental impact in waste management and strive to reduce it. We reuse and recycle excess plastic film during production to minimize our manufacturing waste. We hope this info is useful. Shannon from The Glad Team

    Low quality, tears easily

Very thin & cheaply made. Rips very easily. Not impressed & Will not be buying glad again. Not ideal when using for kitchen trash. They do smell nice. Only positive that got it the 2nd star.

    Tall trash bags

They look small, but they’re stretchy and strong. These fit very well in my 13 gallon kitchen trash container. I like that I can add trash from other rooms into the bag before taking the trash the outside trash bin. Always room for more, so I’m really getting my moneys worth with these bags.

Item as described, works with taller trash cans as it is stretchable. Doesn’t fall in as it grips the edges of the can so good tear resistance and leak proof.

Worst ever not the product it used to be

Not the same product are completely unusable many ripped open just shaking them open .. they are not flexible hold almost no weight and are unable to be put on a standard trash can like they used to for 10+ years of glad for forceflex use and satisfaction these trash bags are worse than the worst bags I have ever used and over 3x the price . Worst product ever and not the traditional glad forceflex in any way and completely different product with none of the promised force or flex claimed ! Glad trash bags febreze air scent in the large double roll sized product purchased in Knoxville,tn.

    Not at all resistant

Force flex? More like trash! I think something changed because I used to swear by these. I emptied my pantry to discard expired items (boxes, flour, snacks, oil etc) and little do you know… I pull the bag out of the trash bin and boom. Flour and oil mixed on my floor and in my bin. No strength, definitely NOT leakproof and not tear resistant.

    Get these! Absolutely worth it!

These bags fit our kitchen trash can perfectly and I feel somehow makes it last longer between needing to switch bags! I have a 16 month old and I’m really impressed with the Oder blocking as well. The strength and durability of these bags are top tier!

The refreshing smell masks any odor from the trashcan! Also, very strong bags that can withhold a heavy amount of trash. I’d give 10 stars out of 5 if I could! 😍

    Preferred trash bags

I like the durability vs others. I like the basic less string scents so it doesn’t overwhelm my kitchen. Fits perfectly in my 2 standard size kitchen trash and recycle bins. I do wish there was a version for recycling they would accept. I think any plastic bag is a no-go in recycling processes.

    Quality lowered and tears easily

We used to love these bags because the smells are great but the quality has taken a massive nosedive this year and the pull strings snap easily. We are moving to another brand, unfortunately.
