Salsa Verde newbie
I just recently discovered salsa verde, so I'm not an expert. I mostly use it in a new favorite chicken salsa verde soup which the base is the entire jar of salsa and chicken broth so the salsa plays a starring role. This soup has been a hit, and I find myself buying multiple jars of this jar. It is now a pantry staple.

I bought the mild due to my GI issues, but it was not mild at all. It was so hot that I suspect it was labeled incorrectly. I hope Herdez beefs up their quality control.

"Mild" Salsa Verde NOT mild at all
The jar of "mild" salsa verde I just bought this week and used in a recipe was so HOT that I could barely eat it. My husband who likes things spicy even thought it was hot. Reading other reviews, it appears that there is frequently inconsistency in the product labeling and what is actually inside the jar. I will have to look for another brand next time.

The medium and the hot salsa was not hot at all
It was a terrible experience. It seemed like they put mild salsa in all of the bottles then marked them with medium, hot and of course mild.

I would buy this again.
My Aunt turned me on to the Herdez green chili verde in the can. Her chicken enchiladas were the best I ever had. Now I love it and plan to incorporate it in many recipes. I just love when I find something new and tasty. I had never had tomatillos.

Guacamole Salsa Mild is another staple in our home. We love this product and often interchange the two. As with the Salsa Verde, we use on many dishes, in many ways.. My husband has been known to get a spoon and eat straight out of the bottle. Another delicious and quality product from Herdez!!!

This product is a staple in our home, We make sure that there are extras in the pantry, because there are times when the supermarket shelf is empty. My wife jokes because there are virtually very few foods that I eat without this product. It has a clean vegetable taste that enhances almost everything, especially delicious with eggs, use as sub for gravy, put into polenta, smothered steak, hamburgers. By far the best salsa commercially available
My mother is from Los Angeles, non Hispanic, and we grew up on international food. She made enchiladas from scratch so I adore excellent hard to fine well seasoned Mexican food. Herdez’s salsa verde and regular red salsa are the VERY best, most authentic wonderous flavor. Target sells it for a good price.

Herdez Roasted Salsa Verde Medium
I have used this product for years, on everything. I moved from the west coast to the east coast, and I have noticed that the flavor is different here. Not able to put my finger on it, maybe more cilantro. It is still the best jarred salsa verde in my opinion. I also love the Roasted Salsa Roja.

Why would you change something that was so perfect so disappointing ! This used to be the only green sauce we bought, but since the recipe was changed and the taste is not the same, we will not be buying this again.
