Q: Do the tables lock when opened? if you move them or pick them up will they fold or close? are they sturdy?

A: When opening the table to use, there is a glide underneath so that the legs don't flop all over the place. Once opened all the way, the legs will stay in position as theres a wood block that will not allow it to move any further. These can be moved and picked up easily while open without folding up.

Q: Do you need to use coasters on these, or are they water repellant?

A: The wood is sealed however like any wood product, to help expand its lifespan it would be recommended to use coasters.

great set of trays
this is an amazing set of oversized trays!! The only issue we have had is one of the lefs broke when trying to set up the tray. Crazy!!! the other 3 are fine. I am hoping to find a replacement tray. We love them.

I really like the weight and color of the tables, overall I am happy with them, would have given a 5 rating. However (2) of the table tops were not finished correctly, and are discolored and the textures very rough. I would like to return at least one table, but need them and not able to return all of them. This is why I am rating a 3 verses a 5.

Ordered as a gift, our daughter sent a photo and they're perfect. I got a better idea of how big the trays are, as she's using one as a temporary desk and her laptop, mouse, etc. fit well with a little space to spare. the dark color is also very appealing; I'd buy this product again.

Good product - not so good quality finish
The tables were nice and sturdy, solid and large surface area for the plates/glasses to eat off of. However, the finish was lacking - the stain/clear coat did not appear to cover the places where there are knots in the wood - the wood feels rough and exposed there. Went to order another set hoping that the finish concern was local to this one batch, but they are no longer offered on the Target website and are not available at any stores - frustrating!

Poor quality -- Leg broke on first use
The assembly was relatively easy, though the wooden screw covers fall off. Upon folding up one of the tables, which is an easy process, one of the legs broke. Since I ordered these online, I can't just return and exchange one table. Poor quality. Do not buy.

Beautiful pieces. They just arrived today, within 2 days of purchase with standard shipping, which is surprising but definitely appreciated. They have a deep, rich color exactly as pictured and the stand was easily assembled (no written instructions). If I had waited a couple more days I could have bought them with 15% discount but it wasn't on sale 2 days ago while I was shopping. Nevertheless, for hardwood, they're worth it compared to less pricey TV trays that are flimsier. I really like them and I recommend!

I received my delivery in a timely fashion as per estimated delivery date. The stand required assembly, which I wasn't expecting, though assembly was simple. I thought all the table components were wood but the arm that opens the table is metal. I wish the tables had a locking mechanism for when they're in the open position. Very nice solid tables. Beautiful rich color. I like that they are oversized. Overall, I'm very pleased with this purchase and would recommend them.
