Q: How much assembly is required? Most fold-out items like this just fold out and the shelves lower into place, but this looks like it comes in several pieces.

    Be prepared to assemble!

    It's a roomy shoe rack and it holds everything in our mudroom neatly, but my only complaint is that it came in a bunch of pieces (I knew there was "some assembly", but I didn't think it would require a hammer and hex keys!), and they did not fit well together. It was like putting together Ikea furniture. But unlike Idea furniture, the pieces did not fit neatly together, so the corners and joints aren't flush, which makes the rack wobbly. For the price, I guess it's a good buy, but had I known how hard it would be to put together, and that the pieces would not fit properly together, I would have thought twice about buying this rack.
