  • A: These rugs shed quite a lot at first, but they will eventually slow down. For me, it’s been worth it because they really don’t show much wear at all, even in high-traffic areas (though I should note that we don’t wear shoes in the house).

  • A: I read the comments before I bought this rug so I went in knowing this rug sheds. Friends, it is NON STOP SHEDDING. My rug is two years old and to give you an idea of the ridiculousness, if you drop say a pair of black leggings on this carpet, it looks like you got in a two hour fight with a long haired cat from the Himalayas. It acutally fills my dyson. I've had it and I'm throwing it out.

  • A: I've owned cats and wool rugs for decades, they are drawn to wool rugs. If you buy tufted rugs, it will never show where a cat scratches. But knotted or woven rugs will show where it's pulled.

  • A: I’ve used a Rug Doctor on one of these rugs and it came out absolutely fine. The backing is a tight weave fabric, very heavy duty. You can expect a lot of shedding during the cleaning process, as well as a protracted drying time, but the results, for me, were great.

    really like it

    i read the reviews before buying it in store and i think it’s a hit or miss whether it sheds or not. i rubbed it at the store and didnt notice any shedding. i bought it and unwrapped it at home and vacuumed it. didn’t notice any shedding yet either! very pretty runner. i put it in our bedroom since we have kids and didnt want to risk it in a high traffic area. we do have a dirt devil that i’ll use on it if it ever gets stains but seems pretty heavy duty as its wool

    colour not as shown...

    ordered one. disappointed to see that it was nearly all black / dark grey - ordered another to see if it was a fluke . . . it was not. These rugs are not the beautiful mix of greys depicted in the product photo. Previously, I purchased two of the smaller rugs and they did look exactly as depicted - not sure what changed in the few years between purchases, but “charcoal heather” is no longer an accurate description. If you look at the darker accents in the item photo, that would be a more accurate representation of the majority colour of the rug you will receive. The rug is good quality and durable, but if you want the rug in the picture, it will disappoint you as it did me.

    I bought two!

    Obsessed with this rug. The texture is beautiful in person and it completely elevated my entry way without overpowering the space.     LOVE THEM

    I have various sizes of this rug all in the grey/charcoal. I love them! I have 2 in my kitchen, a runner by the island and the small size in front of the sink, and a huge one in my bedroom. I also have two cats with claws and yes my cats like to sharpen thier claws on rugs and furniture. I have never had an issue with any of the rugs. They have held up great and still look like new after 5 years at our old house and a 1.5 years at the new house. I am back to buy another for my guest room.

    Poor unacceptable packaging

    The quality of the rug was very good. However the packaging of one of the two rugs I ordered was terrible and unacceptable. One of the rugs had no protection, allowing the rug to be exposed to dirt and stains during shipping. It did not have a protective plastic cover. The other rug did have the protective plastic cover. It arrived clean and unsoiled.
