Pretty but scratches easy

While it was easy to assemble and looks wonderful, I noticed that the coating on the metal scratched easily, so if you plan on assembling this, do not do it on wood floors. I would have also liked that the glass has some foam to place on the glass or shelves.

Terrible

Awful. This is not gold, or even brass. It’s a dull brown color. I can’t understand how they made the photo look like they did. Such a pain to return this heavy item.

SERIOUSLY, DO NOT BUY

Seriuosly guys, DO NOT BUY THIS ITEM! It is of such poor quality that I cannot believe Target is willing to sell it. They don't send the proper screw with the bookcases, which makes it impossible to put together without a drill, and the shelves broke instantaneously with no weight. I'd be terrified to put actual books on this. Of course, returning these items has been just as painful as trying to put them together. Seriously, stay away. I wouldn't wish my experience with these bookcases on anyone.

Nice piece

Lovely piece. Definitely a dull "brass" look. The biggest problem is that I was given the wrong screws. They are too small, and are wood screws, not metal screws. Still searching for the proper screws because I like the piece.
