The overall design is great. The industrial look is nice, but the distressing is uneven and not consistent. Be warned, there is a distressed effect on the front and side pieces. If you're expecting something smooth and finished looking, this is not for you. It almost looks like an accident rather than an intentional and consistent distressed finish. The whole bookcase is metal—including the shelves. The shelves are fairly thin and tend to have flex to them. Because of the thin metal, might not be a great solution if you expect to put a bookcase/bluetooth speaker which might cause serious vibrations/rattling. I would say this is a $150 shelf at most. For MSRP, I would expect something more substantial.

This metal bookshelf is well constructed, assembles without difficulty, and is of excellent quality. It came very well packaged, with all the necessary screws & instructions. I subtracted one star because there is a slight amount of discoloration in some of the metal. This does not detract from the overall look of the bookshelf, as it is an industrial style item. There is a feature that allows you to level the legs; however, we did not need to use it as the bookcase was stable on our floors. It looks great in our space and is an amazing value for this unique item.

I love this item. It is everything I was looking for and I can't wait for another sale so I can order 2 more.

If I must be honest, after putting it together I’ve decided that the picture looked a lot nicer than it does in person. I had no idea it was made of metal which I didn’t see any indication that it was made of metal, it looked like from the picture it was made of wood. Also, after I put it together I didn’t want to go through the trouble of taking it apart and putting it back in the box because there were screws and many pieces so therefore I guess I’m keeping it. I will say that I did like the concept of the different size of shelves.
