Pure Guardian Ultrasonic Warm & Cool Mist Humidifier with UV-C & Aroma Tray Black: Portable, Quiet, No Filter, 300-500 sq. ft.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Just what I was hoping for! This winter has not been good for sleeping. When I decided to try a humidifier in my bedroom, this model got my attention. I could not be happier with the results, and enjoy both the amount of features and simple operation.

We love this humidifier! Wondering if you have a replacement washer, in case the seal wears out.

This isn’t a warm mist humidifier. It doesn’t have a noticeable temperature variation between cold and warm. Unless of course you consider room temperature to be warm. This produces a 70 degree max “warm mist”. That simply isn’t acceptable for antibacterial. Additionally, there’s a list of do’s and don’ts in the manual that bordered on ridiculous! One example: Don’t use on wooden tables, floors, entertainment centers. If you have hard water or dislike the dust/film produced, you’ll need to purchase a filter for the tank at an additional cost. Please also pay attention to the measurements. This is a larger model and you’ll need adequate space so the mist doesn’t pool around the unit. I purchased two from Target and ended up returning them. I only use warm mist humidifiers because they’re antibacterial.

it works, but the humming sound bothers me, better for living room

PureGuardian H5450BCA: Manual says, "Remove humidity spout and clean the mist tube with fresh water". QUESTION 1: How do I remove the spout? RE: "Do not ... submerseallow water to enter inside the dry air exhaust port of the unit." QUESTION 2: Where is the dry air exhaust port? I suggest that the manual be revised to provide this information We received our UV-C Ultasonic Humidifier and were trying to figure how to support the Water Tank while filling it. QUESTION 3: Referring to page E-4 of the manual, can the "Lid" be removed to expose a flat surface? QUESTION 4: Or, can the "Humidity Spout" be removed to expose a flat surface? QUESTION 5: Or did the designer fail to think about the need for the water container to stand upright while filling it? I was not able to remove the "Lid" using a reasonable amount of force! Please help us over 80 seniors resolve this issue of a water container with a rounded convex bottom! I suggest that an accessary be made available to hold the water tank upright while filling it. Another problem with the water tank is that there is only one handle, on one side of the tank, recessed into the tank near the top. When held with this handle it is difficult to lower it onto the base because it needs to be perfectly vertical. If another recessed handle were provided on the other side of the tank, mating it with the base, when filled with 2 gallons of water, would be so very much easier! For our initial trial of the unit, we have it on a kitchen counter. The second time I filled it with water, I inserted both thumbs into the handle recess and wrapped my fingers around the outside of the tank. This made it much easier to keep the tank vertical while lowering it onto the base. Also, I found a 1-1/2 Quart/1.4 Liter Circulon Stainless Steel pan with a very thick bottom that is slightly over 5-1/2 inches inside diameter, into which the unit's spout can extend and keep the tank vertical, while filling the tank with water.
